Shepperton Design Studios Original Stormtrooper Battle Spec Full Armour

After a long time reading reviews on Amazon and different other sources I decided to give the Shepperton Battle Spec a chance. I'm 186cm and 106Kg. And I would say it's the maximum this armor could fit. All parts fit very well. Only the upper part of the torso slips from the lower part if I stretch a little bit. I will try to attach some loops to solve this. I also own an older FX Armor which I build by myself. Comparing both the Shepperton has a thinner and more flexible plastic. By one side it makes it easier to put it on, on the other hand I have a little fear that the material is less durable. Time will show. Most parts of the suit is well manufactured. But on some parts it looks like it has been build without an eye for quality. I found 2 velcro strips not attached very well and the small plate with the buttons on the front of the torso are askew. I like the strap system which works very well for me. Also the color points are a good idea and very helpfull putting on the suit. The helmet is something you have to deal with. The asymetric design needs getting used to. But I think it's not as worse as I read in some comments. It is like the original foams. But I was really dissapointed that all labels are simple paint or askew sticker with little bubbles. Sorry but this looks cheap. I own a Hasbro Black Series helmet and this looks much better.Ok. My summary is that you pay what you get for. The price is ok if you compare with other armor sets. I like the Shepperton Battle Spec as it is a part of historie and overall looks really fine. Only the helmet let me be dissapointed. Give more love to the colors, change this simple plastic lense and add a comfortable strap system for the head. Then I would change my mind from 'like' to 'love'. :-)I hope you understand all my thoughts as I'm not a native english speaker. Greetings from Germany, Alex

Super cool Star Wars Armour. I love it. This highly authentic Stormtrooper armour is really awesome. You look just excactly like the real thing regarding armour and helmet. This is "going all in"! Add an E-11 blaster and white boots, and you are good to go as a real Stormtrooper! All parts included in this armour, prepared and ready to wear. Depending on your figure, height etc. you might have to adjust a little on the armour, but it will be fairly easy for most.(If you want to join the ranks of 501st Legion, you will need to make some more adjustments, buy a neck seal,a canvas belt and E-11 blaster, blaster holder and the authentic white chelsea boots with black soles.)

AM a old school star wars geek and when this arrived I was so impressed, am 5 10 and med build and the amour fits like it was customised to my spec . I realised that the stromtrooper was built around my build an extra bonus.I made a few mods, like gloves lens and under jump suit, but in my option I wanted a bit of history, I was eight when I seen ANP I was blown away by the stormtrooper amour. And that the amour was designed and built in the UK by Shepperton studies.The amour is so well made and for a out the box amour kit am glad I made the purchaseFast delivery.Hope the pics do justice

This suit saves you some time if you want to modify it to be 501st certified and don't mind paying a couple hundred more than buying it as a kit. Question is it worth a couple hundred more from your point of view? Smeh...WARNING: This suit is poorly put together and trimmed. Be prepare to cut, drill, glue and modify the helmet alignment (it's not supposed to be symmetrical which is saying something) and replace velco.This suit does not come with a neck seal so be prepared to buy one.The black body suit provided comes with a single zip down design and feels uncomfortable. Highly recommend replacing it.Overall, it did most of the initial work for me than buying a kit. Luckily it seems I'm able to salvage the flaws in the construction of this suit and for someone that doesn't feel like building their suit it's definitely good for a party but will need some love put into it if you're a real star wars fan.

Great set of armour. People are gonna hate it due it being Ainsworth made and the whole controversy over who claims who designed what(mainly 501st elitists) but it looks like a stormtrooper it fits well and easy to put on with snaps and strapping all worked out. The undersuit isn't amazing but does the job , most people replace this anyway and the belt isn't screen accurate but that's an easy fix.

An awesome set of armour, the only shortcomings being that I had legs too muscular for my set of armour on one leg, yet the other thigh and calf (right) fit just fine, I'm hoping I can get a larger replacement, but otherwise this suit looks great once fully one. Lopsided, restrictive and dull plastic, just as beautiful as I remember on the big screen. Can't wait to wear this at cons, hopefully with large enough thighs and calf (i'm 6ft 2 and 17).

Absolutely love it, a real head turner at fancy dress parties. It is a lot of money but well worth it, you could always rent it to your friends lol.

Bought this as advertised as ready to wear out of the box, it might have been, had it been complete. And not of. Very poor quality, first one was returned, second one was at least nearly complete. Needs lots of work just to be wearable, poppers fall off at touch, so be prepared for repairs from the off. It looks ok for a replica. But not at the price, at half the price it might be ok.
