Silverline Rotary Steel Wire Wheel Brush 100mm (PB02), silver

I bought this to clean peeling paint from iron railings prior to repainting and it worked well, leaving a good surface for the new paint. I have used several brands or wire brushes before, but this one was a good diameter and wore down more slowly than some others I have had. The spindle was a good length that allowed the drill to get a good grip of the brush whilst leaving enough sticking out to reach awkward places.

Welll worth 5 stars. Gets into tight angles, where the cup-brush has no accessibility. Ideal for overhead use, when stretched out flat on my back. Good quality goggles, and "head-lamp" are advised for this. Cleans down to bare metal, and removes "sharp-edges" for the MoT. Leaves a nice "Key" for painting with primer. Purchased 2, also 2 cup brushes, for a large renovation job.A good match for my B and D 7.2v battery drill. Could only find the 100mm localy, including B and Q. The 100mm is of no use to me.5 stars to both Silverline, as also Amazon, for top web service, and delivery. Packing was also perfect.

Bought two different shapes of these, so have duplicated their reviews as feel the same about them both. Not sure love is the right word for this kind of object? Good quality, as is practically all the Silverline stuff I've had over the years, bought to enable me to strip the paint off one of those victorian type garden sets, what a job, oh dear, would never have taken it on if I'd known! This thing helped considerably though. Will buy again when time comes

This is a great product for a very reasonable price. The local DIY are asking almost double for a similar item.I'm using it to clean off light corrosion under my car. I'm subjecting it to quite heavy use. So far it has not shed any bristles more than you would expect. The reverse direction on the drill helps to keep the cleaning action efficient. I would have purchased more at the same time but the seller only had one left in stock.I would certainly buy this item again.

I use this size wire wheel to clean the knurling around the old Pre-decimal Half Crown / Twoshilling / One Shilling / and Six penny coins.

I am using this to renovate cast iron guttering (and lots of it). It quickly removes the rust once stripped back to bare metal. This has performed extremely well, every bit as well as the £10 wire brush available from DIY stores. At this price you can't go wrong. It is as well put together as expensive brushes, wears well with heavy use and does an excellent job. Not much more I can say!!

Why did I wait so long to order these? I had a worn one and kept using it - very inefficiently.The new ones work fine and have cleared up some tarnished metal surfaces in no time at all.The wire brush does not seem to wear down as quickly as my previous one.
