Excellent book, very creative, full of ideas, colourful

I was delighted with this book. For the skilled stitcher really, so I have some catching up to do, but the images and instructions are easy to follow, so a product can be achieved without wasting materials.It holds quite an extensive range of projects, so offers a range of things to do, or work towards as skills develop.A good book and very good value.

I have long admired the work of Ann Small and was looking forward to this book coming out. It covers several techniques of layering and slashing to create highly textural work in well explained, thorough detail. The illustrations are full of colour and entice experimentation - well worth the money.

Lovely book. Bought as a treat when I couldn't visit the Festival of Quilts this year, what a treat. Ann goes through the layering process in detail, taking you through lots of ideas and techniques to try. It would work best if you have some dyed fabrics, scraps will do. Well explained with beautiful images. Well done Ann.

This is such a wonderful book..I've found it hard to put down loads of great ideas and very well explained..
