EXCELLENT value & tool, unknown how it will hold up to repeated heavy use (thus only 4* reliability)
UPDATE: At the bottom of the review I noted that there were no instructions about how to replace the motor brushes, even though a spare set came with the drill. In response to a question about that the company rep said they'd "try" to get the instructions from their engineers. I was skeptical that I'd get a final response. To my pleasant surprise they did! And so I've now bumped my rating from 4 to 5 stars.I had to drill several holes in concrete, and since I don’t anticipate having to do that a lot more I took a leap of faith and bought this product — one of the lowest price hammer drills I found on Amazon. For my purpose I was not disappointed at all.The entire package of things that came in addition to the hammer drill itself consisted of a variety of bits, some extra grease (needed to keep the drill in good shape), a rod to help limit depth of drilling, and a set of extra brushes, all in one nice, organized hard plastic box.I first tried drilling my holes with an old corded Craftsman drill (one that looked like most drills) that had a hammer function, and used Bosch bits made for concrete. Got basically nowhere after MANY minutes of trying: barely an inch into the concrete. When I got this hammer drill, and after reading the instructions, I put in one of the inexpensive-looking bits that came with the tool, not really expecting much, and started making my holes. I was more than pleasantly surprised. The tool and the bit made short work of drilling a pilot hole through about 5 inches of concrete, and following up with another supplied and larger bit gave me a nice, perfectly sized hole. One slight negative: Adding grease periodically is necessary to keep the drill working. The tube of grease that came with the tool wasn’t labeled to indicate what type of grease to buy when the supplied stuff ran out. I contacted the company (their email address is in the manual) and after a few days got a reply: basically any grease made to lube SDS drills (e.g., Bosch SDS drill grease), which this drill is. Readily available and inexpensive. So I’m cool with that.I gave only 4 stars, however, for the following reason. A set of extra motor brushes came with the drill, and that immediately suggested to me that the installed brushes (and so the drill) aren’t going to last a long time. I do not know that for a fact, however, and I will not be using the drill often so that may not be a problem for me. UPDATED: See beginning of review.I contacted the company by email about this too, and after a few days the person who replied didn’t know what motor specific brushes would be needed in case the ones supplied went bad, and they don’t know where to get another set. They also said there are no instructions about how to replace the brushes and the engineers who might know any of the above are “on vacation.” So, even if the installed set of brushes went bad the provided replacement set may not be worth anything if you can’t figure out how to replace them. (There ARE YouTube videos, but the how-tos seem to vary from brand to brand). Unlike some tools with an electric motor, there is no external cap to unscrew to just slide the old brushes out and put the new ones in.)One final note: The chuck does NOT take regular twist drill bits: you need to use "SDS" bits, which have a different shank that is best for heavy drilling. You can Google SDS drills (and bits) for more info; the bits themselves are readily available, and that's what most good concrete bits are.OVERALL: If you aren’t going to be doing the amount of concrete or other heavy drilling that a typical contractor might do, this is a great product at a great price, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.

Surprisingly more useful for a variety of situations
I originally bought this just to drill about 4-8 6” anchoring holes to hang my gymnastics rings securely with the intent to return it (yeah you who’s reading, how dare you judge. Don’t act like it’s never crossed your mind once before) into my loft’s 122 year old concrete ceiling, which had also been retrofitted with 3/8” thick steel reinforcement plates.Using a regular hammer drill from Walmart (big mistake!), it took me about 20 minutes just to drill through the initial 1.5” of concrete before I blunted the masonry drilling tips when it hit the steel. Took another 10 minutes and many breaks in between just to get through it before the next 4.5” layer of heavily aggregated century old concrete. All in all, it took me 4 damn days to put it in that one hole.Decided to order this and when it arrived, I was happy it came with its own masonry attachments in a variety of sizes—particularly the 3/8 and 1/2” I desperately needed after burning out 4 expensive ones on that initial hole.Once I got this thing set up, and preparing myself for another however many days of drilling one hole, I was blown away by how powerful and quickly it drilled through the concrete and steel plate. I’m talking in under 2-3 minutes! It is heavier than a normal drill that I’m used to, especially working overhead, but that weight = unparalleled power. I got through all 8 holes in my ceiling PLUS an additional 2 I’ve been wanting to install to hang plants with all done in under an hour.Like I said, I really just needed this to complete this one project and was going to return (stop judging me, really. I like to think of it as “renting”). But then I found another need for it, then another.Anything from chiseling down through hard lava and marble stones to use in my various aquarium and terrarium /landscaping projects with the included chisel attachment, to popping in an SDS hammering head and using it to high-speed stomp into a couple of rubber mats (to protect!) my concrete floor whenever my downstairs neighbor decides to be annoying and tries to test me (I am not above being petty), I have found this to be the most useful tool in my tool box.

Good tool, but missing trigger safety switch.
Recently I have purchased this tool. Since it was frequently returned product I also thought it would be bad. It has arrived I used it and I am not disappointed at all. The only downside for this tool is safety switch missing. Accidentaly you can trigger it when lifting the tool. Other than that I didn't encounter any problems. Finished my project without an issue.

Very Good Hammer Drill
Purchased this hammer drill primarily to remove the old wooden fence posts buried in concrete when I replaced my fence. The pointed and flat bits worked perfectly for what I was doing. Switched back and forth easily when I needed to change them out for the particular demo I came across. It is a heavy drill so vibration and fatigue is pretty much eliminated. Works just as good as any high priced ones I have used it the past.

Works great, no problems.
My experience has been nothing but great. Works as expected. Yes, a bit heavy, I suppose, but it's not a problem. Noise is as expected. Wear ear and eye protection. I bought some extra bits. Can't comment on durability, since I've only used it for a few hours. I'd certainly buy it again. Recommended.

Quality appears excellent … used once so far and very pleased
I don’t need a hammer drill very often so I can’t speak to longevity at this time … for my diy homeowner use, it should last a lifetime … easy access for adding lubricant … quality seemed excellent … looks good … feels sturdy …
