The rogue ninja Furido attempts to use the Lightning Style jutsu of the Guardian Shinobi to rain destruction on the Leaf village. The ninja are running out of chakra. Does Naruto have enough power to save the village? Then, the Akatsuki are working their way form one tailed beast host to another, and it's only a matter of time until they get to Naruto!

Moving back onto the real story
And so the end of possibly one of the better fillers that Naruto has had amongst its series so far. We are now moving back onto the main story line. Its based around two main aspects, Asuma and Shikimaru heading off to hunt down the two Akatsuki aswell as Naruto trying to master his new ability so that he can defend himself against the onslaught of the Akatsuki. We get a lot of humerous banter shared between Hidan and Kakuzu with their hints towards killing each other. I feel that the writer has strung out their hints towards immortality very well without dropping too many hints as to what their abilities are, especially Kakuzu's.Towards the end of this boxset (if you can call such few episodes a boxset) Asuma's team confront Hidan and begin to fight for their survival as Kakuzu wants Asuma for his 35 Million bounty. As the battle unfolds we discover what high level Ninjas Hidan/Kakuzu are and the fight develops. It cuts off just at the right point that just makes you scream NOOO!! So people who haven't watched the subbed version of this will be waiting on the edges of their chairs until the next box set is released.I can confirm it only gets better from this point and i cant wait to own the next boxset myself!

Zombies & the Akatsuki
This sixth set of episodes of the `Naruto Shippuden' anime contains a further twelve episodes of the series. The first six episodes of the volume conclude the grave robbers story arc with Naruto and his friends attempting to stop the zombie invasion of Konoha, prevent the destruction of the village by a powerful lightning jutsu and save Sora from going out of control. While this arc isn't all that good, it is probably slightly better than some of the other filler arcs that the show has had with some nice fights and some good characters. The major problem with the arc is that some of the information reviled here is contradicted by later revelations from the proper storyline but this is par for the course with filler. The second set of six episodes return the series to the proper storyline with Naruto returning to his training and a new pair of Akatsuki on the hunt for tailed beasts. This storyline does shift the focus away from Naruto somewhat with much of the episodes following Shikamaru, Asuma and the Akatsuki pair of Hidan and Kakuzu. These two new Akatsuki members are probably my team of all the Akatsuki pairs as not only are the characters interesting in their own right but their relationship is also very entertaining as well.I would have given this set a full five stars if it wasn't for the filler but as it stands I feel that the volume is still worth a solid four stars.

Back to the story arc
This finishes of the filler that started in vol.5, and then gets back to story arc. Naruto carry's on with his training while we are introduced to 2 Akatsuki members. And what follows is awesome, the only bad thing I would say that the last episode does leave things on a cliffhanger but the wait is worth it as I have seen this before on legal streaming site. Finished watching it today and that's all I can say. Awesome! Can't wait for box set 7 to be released now.

'THERE IS ONLY SHINOBI!' *Swoons*
This could have been better, we got a few story eps and then the fillers came and I sighed, rolled my eyes and got comfy. There's nothing wrong with fillers but when you see a cool battle raging you don't want to suddenly get sidetracked and thats what the Naruto series does ALL the time recently. Just look at series 5! What the heck went on there! Though I suppose some of the fillers does add to the story....But anyway, the story eps we did see set up some good pace and we get to see everyone's role in the war. After a year of waiting for this to come out on dvd I watched it all instantly and found myself cheering for those we only saw briefly before as they take centre stage.By the end of the discs though I was yelling at certain people (not mentioning names) to get their asses to the battle and also cursing as one of the battles I wanted to see so bad didn't even start before I finished the last disc.On a side note I'd like to add that Gaara is awesome in this series, he's grown so much. *Wipes my tears away* It seems like only yesterday he was going around the forest of death sand coffining anyone in his way.

It's filler time. Now we get to pretend we're One Piece! Because being a long and overrated shonen just like it wasn't enough!
Basically, Naruto and the gang go back to the leaf, Kakashi nearly gets crowned Hokage until Tsunade wakes up and gets back to full health again to return to her duties, and Kabuto joins forces with Tobi after blackmailing him. That's about as canonical as it gets. Now everything else is Naruto Uzumaki, Yamato, Might Guy and that pointless ninja with the red sunglasses that nobody cares about (Aoba) traveling from the Land of Fire to the Land of Lightning, with a crap-ton of filler.I'll admit, some of these episodes are well-done, but others are just downright cringe worthy and further remind me how much money I wasted on a shonen that seems to want to drain every ounce of money I have and take full advantage of my humble loyalty to the series dating back to the year 2006. You don't need 500+ episodes to tell a good story, though unfortunately I've bought every box set before this one, so I might as well keep on going...But seriously, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is leaps and bounds superior to this series, and only asks for 64 episodes of your time to enjoy it. Probably the only shonen that will make it onto my top 10 favourite anime list. Oh, and it has no filler! No filler!!!

love this series and it has started to get really interesting now, although there are a few episodes in this one that are random and don't relate to the main story line which is a bit annoying but it will start up again soon !! x
