How come no-one nose about neti?
About Yeti... I would pick up a cold from someone around two times a year and with each I started getting progressively worse sinusitis. During one incident it got to a point where the pain was so immense I was about to start begging for an ambulance. The doctor prescribed decongestant tablets to help. They gave little relief. Disheartened by the doctor experience I started googling for cures/remedies for sinusitis which lead me to reviews of this product. The reviews were very positive and I was sceptical, but out of desperation I decided to give it a go. It's now been two years since I started using the nosebuddy every day. I started using it in the morning and when I got home from work but then reduced it to just the morning. If I was around people with colds I would go back to using it twice a day. Since using this product I have not had a cold, let alone sinusitis. About Nosebuddy... I was surprised by how big the nosebuddy was when it arrived. The only other neti pot I had seen was on TV and was a mini tea pot size. I didn't have a clue what to do but thankfully it came with an instruction manual. The spoon measuring device does what it should, measures the correct amount of salt and is a long handled spoon to make stirring the solution easy. I add the salt to the empty nosebuddy then use hot and cold water straight from the tap to get the right temperature then stir. It works a treat. The spout is tapered allowing you to get a good seal on your nose so it doesn't pour down your cheek. Being clear it also helps you judge when you have used half so you can swap to the other nostril. The size makes it easy to grip and with the lip around the top of the pot prevents spillage when it is being tilted. It's sturdy built and appears to handle dishwasher cleaning. Without hesitation I would recommend trying a neti pot and certainly this nosebuddy. It doesn't take long use and after a while you get used to it and it just becomes part of the routine.

Wow!
I have suffered from chronic nasal congestion for a long time. It has caused me no end of problems, not least that it adversely affected my sleep and caused me to wake frequently with a dry mouth. I used to rely on nasal sprays, and although these work well you're advised not to use them long term as they can cause damage and even dependence, meaning you have to wean yourself off them. They also caused me to have frequent nosebleeds which, again caused me a lot of inconvenience, especially when it happened at work. Recently I decided enough was enough and looked into alternatives, which is when I discovered a lot of people on various forums talking about the benefits of neti pots. I didn't get one right away, as I was hoping my congestion would go on its own, but it just would not let up. Eventually I decided to get this product, thinking that it couldn't cause any harm, even though, regardless of the glowing reviews I was still not expecting it to work. What can I say? After my first day of use I could breathe a lot better (for the first few days I was using it twice a day, I've now dropped that to once per day)and I have to say that after getting over the initial discomfort it really is a pleasure to use and my nose has felt clear ever since. Admittedly I've only been using it for a few days but already I'm feeling the benefit. I'm going to bed on a night with a clear head, and waking up still clear, and I've not used my nasal spray since the day this amazing item arrived though to help ensure my nose stays clear in the dead of night I do wear a nasal strip, but this is something I intend to stop. I will write a follow up review once I've been using my neti for a while, but early signs are definitely encouraging, it's really quite a liberating thing being able to breathe properly through my nose again :) Regarding the neti pot itself, it may have a slightly dubious design but in actual fact it's perfect for the task it is designed to perform. The instructions are also very clear and the breathing exercises work very well, even for someone who isn't into yoga, like myself. If only I'd discovered this years ago, I could have saved myself a fortune on nasal sprays, not to mention countless sleepless nights! Highly recommended.

Nearly 20 years practising Neti and very pleased with this pot!!
I have been doing Neti for nearly two decades, its an important part of my life and grateful for a yoga teacher introducing it to me so many years ago. I bought this as a replacement for a tired old travel Neti pot. I did quite a bit of looking at what was on offer on Amazon and read the reviews, and I must say that I am extremely pleased that I chose this one. It is of excellent quality, not cheap plastic, it feels nice in the hand, and is a lovely subtle pastel colour, that is translucent enough to see the water level. Some of the reviews were saying it is too big, and to be honest this was the main thing that made me choose this one, from my experience you want a good quantity of water for the practice. For me it is just the right size. If it's too small it would be frustrating and fiddly. Also with a good size pot you can easily leave a small amount in the bottom, which I have always thought it a good thing to do; even with good clean rock salt you can often find non dissolvable bits at the bottom, as well as dust that is always around in the atmosphere. The last thing you want is the last bit of water going into your nose is the small volume at the bottom with bits in. The shape of the pot is easy to hold and use, and is comfortable. The instructions are clear and of good quality. It is from Sweden from the Scandinavian Yoga and Meditation school, which I hadn't picked up from the description, but this gives me greater confidence as I have one of Janakananda's very good yoga books from many years ago that I still dip into from time to time. For me this is a product that is being sold by a reputable yoga school to provide a good quality item for health, rather than a cheap product that can be knocked out in bulk and be cheap to make money. It is well worth the money for something that you may end up using everyday for years.

I wasn't sure if a plastic pot was worth the price until I received the product. The material seems to be thicker than other plastic pots on the market. And according to the manufacturer, the plastics can withstand boiling water. I mean--not all plastics is the same, right? And it's much prettier too. (And I think these factors matter if you want to use it for the long term.) Also, other popular items on the market suggest changing a new bottle every 3 months, while this product suggests that you can use it for as long as it's not damaged in certain ways. So I think it's worth the price, if you consider alternative items are worth their prices. And I don't have any problem with lifting the pot like some other customers. It's very handy. The opening fits my nostril. The speed of water is just good. (I don't like the ceramic ones on the market because the opening is too big to fit into my nostrils and the speed is too slow.) I rinsed out a lot of mucus upon receiving it. I was also worried if the pot would be too big. But it turned out to be just the right size too. I also like the manual. The letters are big, and the contents are very informative. (I did not know that table salt was an option before, maybe because other producers want to make money from selling salt packets. I didn't know that tap water, as long as it was clean, was good enough either. Also, nobody told me about holding my head upside down after rinsing my nose.) I'll update if I experience something unpleasant during my use. Update: It's quite helpful during days of bad air quality. I rinse my sinus every a couple of hours, and I do not suffer as much as before. Update: After several months of using the pot, I must say I love it. The air quality is bad these couple of days, and I have rinsed out a great deal of mucus by using this. Usually, I add 3 spoons of salt to decongest my nose. Also, I'm switching to fine table salt which is without anti-caking additives or iodine, as suggested by the manual. And I find that this not only saves money but also provides better effects. Most of the salt sachets on Amazon do not offer very detailed description about where the salt is originated, so you don't even know if the salt is really "high quality". But if you buy table salt, the description is crystal clear. For instance, I am now using dead sea salt as it contains various minerals. And it's just 3 EUR for 500g. By the way, I have bought 2 of these pots, one for home and one for the office. This was my most satisfying purchase of the year.
