This worked for me to output from a USB-C Alt Mode DisplayPort 1.4 connector to a display at 3840x2160 60Hz 10-bit RGB. Another "4K 60Hz" adaptor that I tried only had enough bandwidth to support 8 bits per pixel, but this adaptor worked for my 10-bit monitor.I did not test this product at 8K, but if it can push over 14.4 Gigabits/sec, then presumably it is fully HDMI 2.1-capable.Update:I had been getting issues with occasional disconnects with this adapter, but thought it was an issue with the port on my new laptop. I then bought a second one of these for my second monitor and started seeing random disconnects on both monitors. I replaced the adaptor with a different brand and the black flashes are gone. No longer recommended.

We wanted to add an extra monitor to one of our laptops and this was a super easy add on. No drivers were necessary and we literally just plugged this into a USB C port and HDMI on the other side and viola, the monitor was up and running.It is so simple and just works.

So I present in all sorts of different venues, and the dongles I have flat out didn't work in a library presentation. The library fortunately had one so that's when I decided I needed to get this. When I tried this at a different location (college), the TV kinda came to life, but I never really got a picture. I tried with their dongle and eventually it worked. I'm not sure if I would've kept "plugging away" with this that it would've stabilized or not, but I didn't have time to experiment.I will say that this is a solid build, and maybe it would work better to directly connect to a monitor rather than going through active switches and such. If your use case is simply to hook directly up to a monitor or TV, then I'd say give it shot, but if you need something mission critical for presenting in an auditorium or something, definitely proceed with caution with this, i.e. have a backup.

I'm pretty tech savvy, but I've tried to get this adapter to work for over an hour, but yet i was unsuccessful. After some research online, i figured that the phones we were trying with were not compatible as they are not thunderbolt 3 USB C slots. But i tried it with my laptop, which is compatible, and i did get a picture on my TV, but after about 5 seconds the picture went away and would not display again, until i unplugged and plugged back in, but again, only for 5 seconds. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but i've used similar products and they were all plug and play. I would not recommend .

Hooked right to the phone and Into the TV via a hdmi cable. Using a Samsung phone with dex loaded no super uIssues cord wiggled a bit causing the signal to drop but quickly reconnected.

It works well with my Chromebook. Simply connect and play!I recommend it!

I wanted to be able to connect my phone to a portable projector and watch movies. Well it did what I expected and it worked perfectly. Connectors seem to be very solid. Overall quality feels very good.

Funciona con mi portatil rtx 3070 con salida usbc lo malo que no funciona el gsync ni VRR ni nada por lo demás bien 120hz 12bits RGB HDR no es perfecto pero hace el apaño un poco caro eso si he probado otros y no funcionaban bien
