I usually wear X Large - had to return the first one. Large fits perfectly. I have 2 now, and they are so comfortable. they wash very well, and really are 100% cotton. Well made and good price point

These nightgowns are made with quality cotton material and have held up to repeated washing and drying. Mine have never shrunk. They are on the long side for me, so I hem them. Here is my take on the sizing: I weigh 175 lbs. I have several nightgowns in the size large, which are super comfortable but hang somewhat large on me. So, when a medium went on sale, I decided to try one. I will admit, it does look better on me and is still quite roomy, however, I'm going to stick with the large size for now because they are just so comfy to sleep in. Lots of room to toss and turn. I'm keeping the medium for those few times I sleep at someone else's house. If I ever lose 5 lbs, the medium will probably be perfect. Anyway, I do recommend these gowns if this is the style you're looking for.
