I bought this product to deter spiders and mice and, so far, it seems to be doing the trick. The smell is so potent and just a few drops last for several hours. You can also put a few drops on a cotton wool ball and leave it in the cupboards to keep spiders at bay.

Smells very nicely. I used this to help get rid of the rats under my shed but that didn't work. Oh well. I'll keep trying in better drier weather.

We live in a mice-ridden block and have got through three ultrasonic/bionic plug-in systems, that work fine until the next generation of rodents, which seem to develop a resistance to them.Where this peppermint essence is active in the form of soaked cotton wool balls placed in known mice runs it has worked perfectly. A few observations, though:1. The only way to get rid of mice completely is to prevent ingress, that is, block up every possible way they can come in using fine wire wool, which they can't chew through. Sometimes, as is our case, it's not possible to get to all those holes.2. The product being reviewed is extremely powerful. Don't get it near your face or skin (I speak from experience) - gloves and a face mask are recommended.3. You'll have a peppermint smell in your home for some time. In fact, when you haven't smelt peppermint for a time you should consider refreshing it.4. Humane traps work - though ours only did after we used muesli as bait - but if we catch any it means the peppermint solution has stopped working. Renewing the soaked cotton wool once a month seems about right for us by this measure.

This is my second purchase.I normally use Young Living essential oils, but I moved and can't get to my distributor as easily. Long story short: I substituted this for my YL peppermint oil and love it.Most oils lose their fragrance very quickly, but this one lasts. I can burn it in my diffuser and the scent carries from my kitchen upstairs to our living room. I use about 10-12 drops when I know I want the entire house to smell fresh and will use my diffuser for 2hrs.And I can use it topically as long as I use a carrier oil with it. Highly recommend if you're looking for a good priced bottle of peppermint oil.

Well initially purchased to add to my hair with other oils. HOWEVER found another use for it unfortunately.....Due to hole in my outer kitchen wall that developed in a crevace a rat got into.the kitchen. Tgen add insult injury I had friends who moved post like lockdown their million boxes but left mouse behind!...,oh joy!Laid spring traps & poison in various places nothing happened. After some research did a deep clean. Sprinkled this peppermint essential oils all over the bedrooms, hallway and kitchen. The mouse pretty much ran from the kitchen to the trap the same night as they dislike the smell of peppermint & this essential oil is nice and strong.But Mr canny rat is still not budging As I didn't notice the hole in the kitchen wall for sometime as it's way under a cupboard.Yesterday 4th November 2020 sprinkled peppermint again everywhetr except the lounge and Mr. Rat is hiding in there. Sprinkled peppermint in certain corners and poison and traps in other areas. Sealed up the door and will leave the lounge dark tonight hopefully with fresh poison bait and fresh almond butter which has an extremely nutty smell like peanut butter which caught the mouse, hopefully there will be a result soon.Additionally spiders hate the smell of peppermint oil as large ones were spinning webs in the garden. Sprinkled by the door and certain places and the spiders disappeared. Of course you need to do this every 3 days or so due to the elements.in short great multiple uses of this essential oil...even though some of uses not keen on😐
