Britax Römer KIDFIX SL Group 2-3 (15-36kg) Car Seat - Cosmos Black

Bought this because we had to move on from the 5 point harness seat. I had bought other non-Iso fix seats, but the very cheap ones were slightly concerning with their build quality.This one has hard plastic, outside on the right places, yet has comfortable padding on the inside.Here are the main benefits I see over other similar car seats.1. ISO Fix, can be used with/without it. However when using ISO fix, it means that if the child gets out and doesn't remember to strap the seat belt back over (say after dropping off at school), and you drive home and have to do an emergency stop, the seat doesn't go flying off the back seat of the car.2. The ISO Fix mountings on this seat are via flexible straps rather than rigid metal rods which means you can clip them in much much easier than other car seats I've had in the past. This is a great feature if you have to move the car seat between cars. - Definitely worth considering if you do this regularly. Also helps that the seat is lightOne thing worth mentioning is that this seat (like most other seats on the market) has a base which is about the same width as the seat itself. This does mean that it probably won't fit in the bucket type seats you might find in some Coupe and sports cars. (You'll have to go for something like the Halfords essential, which is of worse build quality if you need that.)So my overall summary is: Provided it fits in your car, then I would definitely buy this, especially given how well priced it is. It can be moved between cars without any trouble, and the added ability to use ISOfix is something which I have really come to appreciate.I will definitely be happy to get more of these in future if I need them.Update July 2019: after 8 months, I bought another one and added photos. First photo is the original one after 8 months of daily usage, second photo is the new one and the packaging it comes in.Update December 2019: Ive reviewed another car seat which costs 2-3 times the price of this one, and think this is actually the easier seat to use, and in my opinion the better seat, which is high praise for this.Update August 2020: Having had such good experience with these, I bought a 3rd one, replacing a much more expensive car seat with this. This time I bought an entirely black one which I think actually looks smarter than the one with the white back.

Such a good quality seat. The isofix clips in easily and gives you reassurance that the seat is secure. They look stylish and provide great comfort for my children as the seat can recline with the main car seat. Sides are wider than conventional car seats which can make the middle seat space too narrow for other passengers depending on your car.

Great car seat, easy to install, comfortable and sturdy, would definitely buy again!

Ever tried to get the fixed lugs of an Isofix seat into some of the awkwardly placed, tight slots that many car seats seem to have? This one solves the problems: the lugs that connect to the seats bars are held on fabric straps and so can be maneuvered into position very much more easily. The seat appears to be well made - the only minor criticisms being that the tensioning action as the seat is pulled hard down feels rather crude (though works perfectly) and the base is white and so easily marked.

Easy to install and move from car to car and not too bulky. Child likes sitting on it and seems pretty comfortable. I would recommend it. Decent price for what you get.

Had to buy this car seat after been in a crash. My son finds it very comfortable and i like that it fixes firmly to the seat with the isofix fixings. I also like the removable side impact attachment that comes with it, this can be removed to put on either side of the car seat depending on which side of the car he is seated in and it to give better protection should the car be hit on the back door.

This is a wonderful chair. Light, safe and the easiest thing to install you will ever buy. I ended up by buying two (one for each car). Definitely recommend

I have 2 of these. The main driver for buying them was the quality/price ratio. I didn't want expensive car seats since they were for our second car, but I also didn't want the cheap ones. These were affordable and the quality is really good, it was a no brainer.

Ayant eu un britax dual fix (rotatif) comme premier siège et très satisfait, nous sommes restés sur la marque. Super siège, s'installe facilement, changement de véhicule en quelques petites minutes, l'enfant est attaché avec la ceinture du véhicule mais sans gêne à la gorge puisque la ceinture est guidée.Le siège s'installe à gauche comme à droite à l'arrière du véhicule sans manipulation particulière.Nettoyage facile, tout est déhoussable

I was at first concerned about the isofix function on this as it is on a belt and not a sturdy bar, however having installed the seat it works brillianty, perfect fit for my old audi and my stepdaughter says it is very comfortable. The belt doesn't sit too high which is perfect but I did decide to buy a seatbelt cover for added comfort. I am pleased but most importantly my stepdaughter is pleased.
