I love liquin!
This is such a versatile medium for different uses, such as improving the fluidity of paints, speeding up drying time, and glazing. A little goes a long way. I use it often in early layers of oil painting due to the quicker drying time (lean over fat is really about drying times, so even though liquin "feels fat" it should be considered leaner). Using too much will add a yellowish hue to paint - 4:1 paint to liquin seems to be about the limit. It sometimes seems very hard and jelly-like in the container, but it is non-newtonian and liquifies with kinetic energy, so you can just shake it vigorously if it solidifies.

Important, read this to avoid problem opening the lid, or if you want to keep the original bottle
Important, read this to avoid problem opening the lid, or if you want to keep the original bottle. Do this 2 steps, use hot water, hold it upside down under the water just like in the photo, for 30 second to maximum 2 minutes, it's guaranteed to work. Step 2, after opening it dry the lid if there's water inside. If your bottle is old, first clean the inside of the lid and top of the bottle and then use cooking oil. Brush the inside of the lid and top of your bottle with oil. Be Careful not to brush the bottom of the lid you don't want getting oil inside. Before brushing use a thick tissue to get rid of extra oil on your brush. It's better to choose a small square tip brush this way you can do it faster. Use more oil on the top of your bottle. Brush it with cooking oil once or twice a week. If you do this you won't need to use hot water again or a safe jar. I love the original bottles😍

A new oil painting.
I am an artist, and needed the tools of my trade as I have been unwell and could not easily go out.
