Great Value Tripod
I have a camera tripod, but it is somehwere else and I needed one in a hurry. I saw this one, and chose a "Used Like New" option for just over 12 quid. The tripod is in perfect condition, just a dent in the generic brown box. The tripod is nice and light - and has a standard/typical design, with telescopic, locking legs to adjust height. It comes in a plastic zip-up case, which is reasonably sturdy and has enough room for a small accessory or two (like my phone mount). I'm very happy with this, it is great value, works well and it got me out of a hole.

Astonishing value for money, solid and high quality.
Though I will occasionally use this for photography, I bough it in order to use my laser-level. I am at a loss as to how Amazon can offer a fully-featured tripod of this quality for this price. The tripod comes with its own zipped carrier bag which also has an adjustable carrying strap. But one removed from this carrier and in it’s closed condition it has a built-in carrying handle (something I’ve not seen on previous tripods I owned). Despite Amazon saying it’s lightweight - it is reassuringly weighty, though not overwhelmingly so, and I normally associate weight/solidity with quality in any case. It is a triple-extend tripod (2 position legs and an extendable neck) and with both extension legs in their fully extended positions it is rock solid. The clamps for that are used to release and lock the legs are also solid and there’s no slip when closed or open. The gimbaled rubber feet are also a boon on uneven or slippery surfaces like wooden floors. The head has all the tings you’d expect, rotation, left/right and tilt controls as well as the winder to raise the extended neck, all of which feel solid and sure. There are two spirit levels on this. One circular one above the legs with which you can level the tripod an any surface by adjusting the legs, and another on the head itself so that one can level that (in my case to get it close enough for my laser lever automatic leveling can kick in.) On mine, though, this is a little touchy to say the least. The bubble does not move smoothly, it will go from the edge to the other edge with the tiniest of adjustments and I had to give tiny, gentle taps to make it get to where I wanted it to me, unlike the button circular one in which the bubble moves as expected. But like I said, levels in photography to me are not an issue and as long as that bubble can get close, the laser lever will do the rest. After that it’s just lock it and use the tilt to put the line where I want it to go. I am very happy with the quality of this tripod for the price and have no problems recommending it to anyone looking to buy a completely adequate tripod for whatever reason.

decent for the price
ive been using this tripod for about a year and a half now, im giving it 4 stars as it doesn't feel the most durable and the extender part has unfortunately misaligned with the crank handle meaning it sticks out to the side when fully collapsed making it harder to store in the carry bag, the height of the tripod is very good and has come in handy, there's been times where i have to use it on uneven ground and its nice and easy to extend each leg to keep my camera level, its nice and easy to setup just by loosening the clips and stretching out the legs, for the price i cant complain much its served me well and hopefully i don't have any more issues with it

Decent Budget Tripod – Does the Job for Casual Use
Picked up the Amazon Basics 60-inch tripod for my camera and binoculars, and for the price, it’s actually pretty decent. Lightweight and easy to carry about with the included bag, which is handy if you’re out and about. The legs extend smoothly and it’s stable enough on flat ground, though I wouldn’t trust it in strong wind or on uneven surfaces – it’s not exactly professional-grade. The head is a bit plasticky but swivels nicely and holds the camera steady for photos and videos. Perfect for hobby use, family photos or a bit of stargazing, but if you’re doing serious photography you’ll probably want something sturdier. For the money though, can’t complain.

Great addition to my photography gear.
I'm really glad I picked up this tripod. It's been an amazing addition to my photography gear. The tripod is super versatile and adjustable. It collapses down into a small compact tripod, easily fitting into rucksacks or bags. It can extend in 3 stages, and turns into a full size tripod. The tripod is super lightweight, but very sturdy and stable once set up. I have used it for my compact digital camera, as well as my DSLR camera, both have been fine on the tripod. It comes with a mount for the camera, which should fit pretty much any camera out there with a standard tripod slot. Once the camera is on the tripod, there full adjustment on the direction, vertical and horizontal angle. Its a great tripod. Very simple and easy to use.

Brilliant value tripod
I wanted this to mount a laser level. I was amazed, I don't know how Amazon produce something as well designed and constructed as this for so little money. I guess heavy professional use on a daily basis might be a challenge for it, but for most of us that won't be an issue. Light weight, easy to use, excellent design and finish and has, especially considering the price, a real quality feel to it.

Ok and cheap, until it broke on holiday
This was well priced, and served me well for a few months of light usage for family shots. However it came with me on holiday, and two of the legs came apart unexpectedly while I was using it - slotting loosely together, but not properly folding up or staying in place upright - making it mostly unusable. For light usage, or for infrequent folding and unfolding, this would probably be ok. But for travel, I wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.

Give This Little Gem a Try - You Won't be Disapointed
I got this tripod as part of a offer bundle with an entry level SLR in 2012 and it has turned out to be one of my most reliable bits of kit. My main photographic interest is long exposure night photography (typically 1 min to 10 mins) so a steady base is essential. I am pleased to report that this basic tripod has proved more than up to the task. When I was kitting myself out I thought I would have to purchase something much more substantial (and expensive) but the tripod came with the camera anyway so I didn't have anything to loose. After I had tried it however I was so impressed that I decided to prioritise my spend on a good wide angle lens and leave the tripod until I could afford it. Two and a half years (and several other lenses) later I'm still using this tripod and it still gives me everything I need. So, what makes this tripod good? 1. Provides a rock steady platform for my DSLR fitted with a hefty wide angle lens. 2. Locking mechanisms on the leg extensions are robust and easy to adjust 3. Camera mounting plate mechanism is easy to operate and locks securely (I leave the plate permanently fastened to my camera) 4. Rubber feet are on self adjusting ball type joints and take up the angle of the ground. 5. The struts between the legs and the centre column add stiffness to the structure and can even be locked in position if conditions are really rough. 6. The hook on the bottom of the centre column can be used to hang a plastic bag with a couple of weighty stones in to provide even more stability if the wind is too strong. 7. There is a bubble/ circle level positioned in the top moulding of the tripod which can be used to accurately set the tripod level. 8. The Camera mounting plate assembly can be swung vertical to enable a switch from landscape compositions to portrait to be made quickly and easily. 9. The tripod comes with a simple zip up carry case which makes packing it in a rucksack easy as all the protruding parts which would snag are kept inside the case. 10. The tripod is light and I have used it quite happily on multi day wild camping trips up in the mountains of the Lake District & Scotland. One tip I would give to those wishing to set the tripod up on thick springy grass (which I do frequently) is to use your boot to kick away the grass where the legs meet the ground so that each foot is sat on a solid base. This helps really helps with the stability of this (or any other tripod) for that matter. Summing up, for the money this is a fantastic buy. I have given mine some real stick over a period of over two years and I would recommend it to anybody. Give it a try before spending a large wedge of cash on a more expensive model.
