All Purpose Descaler

This is the best kettle descaler I have tried. I have used many other brands & also white vinegar but the results were disappointing. Oust is the only brand that has completely cleared the scale. I did use 2 sachets as the build up was quite bad. From now on I'll only need to use 1. I will definitely keep using Oust & recommend it wholeheartedly.

Used monthly to descale a kettle. Easy to use. Always clears limescale and no noxious smell or taste in the kettle if used as instructed.

First I want to say that this product works fine but there’s been a lot of hassle using it for me due to poor instructions & an outdated video here on Amazon. The video I’ve briefly mentioned here on Amazon showing you how to use the product well one the product is a powder which I was expecting, either that or a tablet, anyway it’s a liquid in the sachets so that was not as instructed/advertised. So I used the product exactly as instructed expecting the product to froth up like it does in the video & absolutely nothing happened, so I waited a little longer & I added a second sachet to kind of get the chemical reaction that’s very clear to see in the video & still nothing so I jumped ahead in the instructions on the sachets packaging (which also mention froth) & started to re-boil the kettle & that was when the product started to work & fizz up so I turned the kettle off expecting it to froth up but no after the boiling base plate of the kettle was not heating up the fizzing reaction (like bubble in a pop bottle) of the product stoped & there was no froth at all! So I’m partially boiling the kettle to get some kind of reaction & it wouldn’t have been so bad as the kettle didn’t have much limescale in it at all, so I emptied it & washed it out & then the pressure of the tap surprisingly cleared up the vast majority of the inner base of the kettle which I weren’t expecting as it hadn’t frothed up like in the video or as stated on the product’s packaging at all, what was left was just two piece about the size of & looking like in shape of two tadpoles & a small broken thin streak so I put the third & final sachet from a box in after a boil & I did the same only partially re-boiling once for the fizz reaction & I just left it then for about 30 minutes & when I returned & looked into the kettle it was brilliantly silver in colour so a good soak with the product works wonders too, so I’ve learnt for future use to: Is to add a sachet of this product some 8 - 10 mins after boiling the kettle as directed & that’s boiling a kettle that’s just off being half filled with water for one sachet & if the sachet doesn’t appear to be working I’ll know it is doing something I can just trust it now yet I’ll also most certainly give the kettle a boil & turn it off just short of a full boil to get the product visibly working & I may repeat this depending on the amount of scale I’m trying to lift if it’s a little I’ll pour away after leaving it to work for some 20 - 30 minutes & then I’ll clean with the fastest running tap now if there’s a little limescale left I’ll repeat the above & if that is not needed I’ll boil a full kettle of water alone then I’ll pour that out & I’ll thoroughly wash out the kettle before next use. The product does work but the instructions & the usage video are outdated for what you get plus I’ve got a wonderfully clean like new inner kettle base yet I haven’t had any froth whatsoever, not white froth nor dirty white froth, again no froth at all but again a thoroughly clean limescale free kettle.

Wow, its amazed. I used this product first time. I need clean inside the kettle. Its so clean & shiny. Best product. Its easy to used and understand the information. Take you under 30 minutes.

I swear by Oust it cleans my kettle like new each time and I hate to see scale build up at all . I haven’t used it in my iron as I only use distilled water on that . Very effective from the word go and descaling starts in seconds I haven’t used tried other but Oust for me and it’s really value for money Just follow the simple instructions and you can’t go wrong

At 2.16 pm, delivery guy (Sahil) sends SMS to ask if he can leave item outside. Before I could check SMS and respond, at 2.18 he sends pic of item left outside already. J&T Express should tell its staff not to act smart. At least ring the bell to check if someone is home. Item may be small size but it could be expensive

Ho acquistato questo prodotto per provare a recuperare un bollitore usato con del latte invece dell'acqua. Presentava incrostazioni che non sono riuscito a scalfire con i classici prodotti che si trovano solitamente in casa. Il risultato dopo aver ripetuto due volte il procedimento descritto nelle istruzioni è stato magnifico. Il bollitore è tornato in condizione pari al nuovo e con zero fatica. Ho provato anche ad usarlo per decalcificare una macchina del caffè a capsule (usando alcuni accorgimenti) con buoni risultati. Consigliatissimo

Loosened up the scale in my iron pretty well, but since I have extremely hard water only did so much. I was satisfied, though, because at least most of the brown “rock-like” stuff emitting from the steam vents disappeared after 2 cleanings. If possible, remove the water from the iron after each ironing use. Keeps scale buildup down. Would buy again.
