Great idea.
2 rolls arrived and fairly a large amount of 'sticky paws' on each roll. I eagerly opened one and began to stick onto the corners of my sofas, (which my 4 year old cat has suddenly decided that these are far better to 'prime' his claws than the 3 other 'official' cat scratching posts we currently have dotted around!) Easy to apply onto your desired surface, but I would advise to make sure it has adhered properly before attempting to take off the backing paper, otherwise it will just peel off the original surface.. Once in place you will need either nails to edge a corner off the backing paper or a knife or similar as found it quite hard to get the corner 'going' to peel it off. Once in place, be warned it is very sticky, so any passing cat fur or similar will adhere to it, so in time it may look like a duster (covered in said dust/fur/ or similar) My cat did attempt to try to sharpened his claws but gave it up a bad idea when he found hid front pads stuck firmly to 'sticky paws'... so hey presto, it works!... Will see how long it is before the stickiness subsides, but hopefully that will be well after Louis (the cat) has finally realised that furniture is not the ideal cat friendly solution to his sharpening claws needs.

Overpriced double sided tape
This is a standard roll of double sided tape with a rediculous profit margin because it's 'a pet product'. The actual tape is low quality, not very sticky. The backing paper is difficult to remove, without pulling the tape up with it. The product says on the package that this is an alternative to declawing a cat. It certainly is an alternative as declawing is illegal in the UK (thankfully). This claim leads me to believe they aim this product at American consumers primarily. I have found 'Feliscratch' by Feliway to be a far superior and semi permenant solution to scratching in cats.

Decent enough and works!
My cat likes to scratch the corners of my bed in the early hours of the morning and especially when she is hungry! I had to do something as you could imagine on my days off this waking me up at 6.30am isn't fun! So I looked into these strips and they seem to have deterred her from scratching that area, so she moved to another part of the bed.. again strips have been used and since its been okay she tries and fails! I have a dodgy old sofa that she uses so these strips I was testing in areas before I bought a new sofa to see if it works which I think it does. The one downside to these and what i hate about them is when i brush past them they get stuck to your legs and the strip can't be re-used!

It works!!
IT WORKS!!! Despite what other reviewers have said, our 15 week old kitten was obsessed with scratching out her toys from under the couch and in the process wrecking the ends of it! So I took a punt on this and now she just sits and waits for us to fish them out for her, hates the sticky stuff and also the initial celotape-ish smell from it. Will definitely buy again. Used the whole roll going around an L-Shaped 4-seatercouch plus a 2-seater snuggler couch and then ran out, so buy more if you have larger couches.

Very good idea, easy to apply and it will be ...
Very good idea, easy to apply and it will be interesting to see if it puts the cat off my leather suite when he arrives. I'm going to stick it on in advance because I don't want him to even get started on it. I did test it on an inconspicuous area first, as other reviewers have advised and it did lift the coating in a few places because it stuck so well. I've touched in with some polish and the suite looks fine and it's better than having a trashed suite! What I'm going to try next time is spraying it with a little water first before removing and see if it comes off easier. I've given the product five stars because it is as described and does exactly what it says it does and sticks very well to my suite at least. I may even stick some on to my kitchen worksurfaces temporarily to stop him jumping up there, too. If it works, it works. If it doesn't. no big deal!

Stuck more to kitten than to furniture.
I bought this hoping to protect some furniture from our new kitten, which is what I thought it was designed to do. In fact, the product did not adhere particularly well to the fabric of the chairs and couch we were trying to protect, so it proved something of a struggle. When we did finally get it on the furniture, it became quickly obvious that it was equally sticky on the outward face, and this attracted our kitten who thought it was a wonderful toy as she pulled strips of it off the couch, rolled it up into a big sticky ball and played happily with it for ages until it became so stuck to her chest fur that she needed help to remove it. It was so expensive and had generally good reviews that I'm baffled. Perhaps the protective coating on the couch prevented it sticking properly? (Removable covers from IKEA) Perhaps our mental wee kitten is unusual in being attracted to sticky tape? I don't know - but I definitely won't be buying it again.

Complete waste of money
Complete waste of money, isn't sticky enough to stay on the sofa, even peeling the paper off to reveal the 2nd sticky side made the tape come away from the sofa, walking past it, the slightest bit of fluff from your clothes gets caught and pulls it off. Utterly useless, used the whole 10m in like 2 days because it needed replacing so often. Maybe it's the kind of fabric we have on our sofa, but I could have bought cheap tacky double sided tape from the pound shop, got a lot more for my money and it would have done a better job.

This works, and now my cats have learned to avoid it!
Recently moved into a new home, and needed to protect some home furnishings from cat scratching. I also placed some tape on the bottom edges of some doors, to stop my cats scratching to get in and wake us up in the morning. It works very well. Only thing is that one of my cats has now learned to bypass this by leaping upon doors to push them open! Arghh! However, for protection of soft furnishings, this totally does the business. I did joke with my partner that we could tape the entire floor area except for a small square to confine the cats to one place... it'd probably work but obviously, that was a joke!

This is on each corner of my fabric lounge and it's barely visible unless you're looking very closely. My two cats don't even attempt to scratch the corners of my lounge anymore.

I used that to avoid my cats scratching the sofa (they were used to do it) and after this stopped them to do it! Now I'm using it almost everywhere they are trying to scratch

It does what it's supposed to, but IMO it's not worth the price.
