Must have tool for bakers
Does what it says. Easy to handle and results in smooth cakes. Using this helps to levels cakes as well.

Good for buttercream on tall cakes
This is a great tool if you're working with buttercream on a double barrel cake (i.e. extra tall). The blade is very narrow, which means it won't hold much icing or ganache as you scrape the sides of the cake. You'll do a few inches, then clean it off. The cleaning is also annoying because of the center grip - you can't scrap it cleanly against the side of your bowl. It would've been better if Wilton put the grip at one end instead of down the center. I don't like using it for ganache because the narrow blade loads up fast as you're scraping, and it messes the ganache on the cake instead of cleaning it; a problem when you're working on a cold cake and your ganache is setting quickly.

Very good quality and works as it says it will. Costs a bit more than it should but its all right I guess.

Smooth Operator.
I'm new to covering cakes with buttercream and wasn't happy with my efforts with a pallet knife so I bought one of these. Performed brilliantly and so much quicker.

Bought this as a gift for my mother for Christmas, she has recently got into decorative baking and this works perfectly! Helps smooth her cakes exactly as she wants and the results are outstanding, I would definitely recommend this product for any baker!

The smoother has curved corners. Not ideal for getting a sharp finish on your icing at the bottom of the cake. Didn't realise until the first time I used it. I have ordered a new cake scraper with square corners. I won't use this one now so it was a waste of money.
