Not sure what all the low star revues are for, this is a brilliant bit of kit. Easy to use and excellent for plotting out the lake/river bed in front of you, finding features you would have struggled to find using a bare lead. Yes it's limited by its castability for far distances but can be attached to bait boat/ rowing boat if you want to explore far distant horizons. So far the fish finding has been good, you may need to turn the sensitivity down in murky water. I also like the fact you can display "raw" data or interpolated. The manual will show you the differences in what each setting can achieve. Plots can be uploaded to a central cloud data bank enabling you to do many fancy things with the data from your lake/river. I particularly like the ruler function which gives distances to features/areas from the bank. The GPS is remarkably accurate, although it does occasionally wander off a bit, but nothing of any major concern..we are talking a few metres here.... Overall very happy with this.

A great product. I have used it at a local trout fishing reservoir and also on a Manchester canal. On the reservoir, I was boat fishing and it was great at showing where the depth dropped off sharply and also showed me where fish were. Not necessarily trout but definitely fish so at least I knew there was SOMETHING there! Contrast that with a short session a Manchester canal whilst wife and daughter were shopping. I started off spinning for pike or perch without bothering with chucking out the sonar. A fish-less hour later I decided to use the Deeper. Surprise, surprise, no fish at all in the 200 yard stretch I was fishing. Lesson learnt, I packed up and went to collect wife and daughter! All in all very easy to use and read the screen on your phone. However it does use up the phone battery quickly if using it all the time. My phone was dead in two hours on the reservoir but it was on constantly. Since then I have used it sparingly and only put it back in the water if trying a new area.

This is a fantastic product. It does exactly as intended, finds fish! If you get this product you will not be disappointed by build quality, packaging or size. To date i have had no connectivity issues (iPad mini 2 to device). The only con with this product is the the attention to detail / quality of information within the user guide (part of downloaded software). This i feel really needs to encompass a wider audience with little or no experience with fish finders or bathymetric maps. As example, some of the more prominent issues I have found- Smart imaging detail is labelled incorrectly (more annoying as intrended as quick ref), detail in understanding how to determine fish size if fish icon is turned off (as per guide suggestion), what the colours of the bathymetric map actually mean (look nice and all that but no real info what colours represent), option to download maps with no information as to why bother (it does not link to bathymetricly mapping). Basically, Deeper has good hardware here but improvement is required ensuring correct / appropriate content is conveyed to the end user.

I bought the Deeper Pro to test against our £2,000 Hondex 1500Di echosounder to get seabed bathymetry. The hondex has a big old screen to lug around and for a first pass on how deap a site is we thought, what the hell lets try something small and simple. We tested the Deeper pro in a benign site ( with not much flow of water ) and it worked second time ( we had to go to the tips and tricks to learn how to switch off Wi-Fi Assist ) Let me point out we were using this at up to 3 knot ( so not for what it was designed for) When we went to site in South East Asia the Deeper Pro was great it did not mind the abuse of being towed at 3knots ( over that I took it out the water ) and there was no excess luggage required to pay for it. I have just uploaded the information to Lakebook and I am very impressed, for the cost of the Deeper Pro I have great bathy and I can export the data to exel to put into matlab. WOW The great news is we had issues connecting our Hondex to NaviPac so without the Deeper Pro we would have limited data.

This works almost well enough to be good. The problem is that it’s such a faff to set up: It takes an age to find the satellite and to connect to your phone, then it loses connection seemingly randomly when it does work. It’s also difficult to get a wide scale picture of your swim, just a narrow strip, and playing it back seems almost impossible. It is useful, and there’s no simpler way to find the depth, but really for the price it should be a bit better

great little product.got the pro plus version because of the range it has over the bluetooth version.shows you everything you need to know,saves a lot of time over using a marker float trying to find clear spots,gravel bars etc and with less disturbance with not having to drag the marker float through your swim.shows fish depth as well,which is perfect for finding out if the fish are in the upper layers.recommend it

Great product. Allows you to see what's happening under the water . Easy to use and the pro + connects straight away . Shows you if there's any fish in your swim and at what depth . Map the bottom of the lake and save it so only needs doing once .

Used once in a jug of water to set up then placed in box for 2 months, go to charge and the deeper won't hold charge so item gets sent back to Lithuania for repair to be told unrepairable due to water ingress so warranty won't cover water damage product only 2 months old but offered me 25% off another brand new one how convenient on there part but I've declined offer and going to take it further so if your going to decide to buy one don't.

Works great, used it lots of times fishing and never let me down! Great for finding Crappie and it's easy to use even without a boat.

Ich habe dieses kleine Advice seit nun einem Tag und kann somit nur meinen ersten Eindruck schildern. Der Deeper kommt hochwertig verpackt und verarbeitet und ist deutlich kleiner als erwartet. Das runterlasen der App und verbinden etc. ist sehr intuitiv gestaltet und in 5 Minuten erledigt. Es ging sofort ans Wasser. Meine 100g Rute eingepackt, den Deeper mittels Snap mit der Haupzschnur verbunden und schon klatscht er ins Wasser. Er lässt sich sehr gut werfen. 60m waren überhaupt kein Problem. Weiter ging nicht, da die Rute nur 2.1m lang war. Die Verbindung konnte problemlos aufgebaut werden, aber ich muss auch sagen es war strahlender sonnenschein ohne Wind. Aber trotzdem bin ich wegen der vorigen Rezensionen überrascht wie stabil die Verbindung war. Ich hatte keinerlei Probleme. Da ich neu an dem Gewässer war konnte ich einige Überraschungen bzgl. Des Untergrundes erleben, dafür ist der Deeper hervorragend geeignet! Auch Fischsicheln waren gut sichtbar!! Und tatsächlich ließ sich auf einmal kurz an der gleichen Stelle ein Hecht blicken!! Dann wurde der GPS Modus aktiviert, und auch hier muss ich sagen war ich begeistert wie genau der deeper war. Ich kann überhaupt nicht nachvollziehen warum einige Rezensionen so schlecht sind. Ich fischte von einem Steg aus, welcher tiefer angelegt ist und es wurde alles sehr gut kartographiert!! Summa summarum ein wirklich gelungenes Produkt, welches für fremde Gewässer optimal zu sein scheint, hierbei gibt's eine klare Kaufempfehlung von mir!!

Ho acquistato Deeper perché sono un’appassionato di Pesca e mi piaceva conoscere di più il fondale di alcuni laghi e fiumi, devo dire che è uno strumento eccezionale fa quello per cui viene descritto quindi lo consiglio come aiuto alla pesca. Fornisce anche una mappatura del fondale dando una colorazione diversa alle diverse profondità, le mappe non si riescono ad esportare ma rimangono su telefono o palmare. Oltre a questo si vede benissimo lo stato del fondale se è libero oppure con vegetazione, fornisce anche la differenza di grandezza del pesce. Come sempre la consegna è stata rispettata.
