GORILLA FILLER WEATHERPROOF EXPANDING FOAM FILLER

This is a pretty straightforward product if you’ve done any DIY around the house. I’ve been using it to fill gaps around door frames and pipework, and it expands nicely to fill spaces without leaving huge messes. The nozzle is easy to control, so you don’t end up over-applying, which can be a problem with cheaper brands. The foam cures quickly and hardens well. It’s weatherproof, so I’ve been happy using it on areas that get damp or have a bit of exposure to the elements. Once it’s set, it sands down reasonably easily if you need a smoother finish. A couple of things to keep in mind - it’s a one-use can, so plan carefully before you start, and it can stick to surfaces more than you might expect. Gloves are essential, and a bit of masking tape helps if you’re working near wood or painted surfaces. For anyone needing to seal gaps or insulate small areas, this does the job without fuss. It’s functional, reliable, and does what it says on the tin. Not fancy, but dependable.

Excellent product, great for filling large holes, I've used it for years. The only problem is cleaning the tube where it comes out, it's not easy, so I tend to bin it when I've finished even if there's some left inside the can. But overall, it's a handy thing particularly if you are not good at DIY.

Does the job but there are cheaper alternatives (basically 2 for 1 by these prices)

Annoying like most of them. Messy as hell and the nozzle has a mind of its own. Get a gun 100%

After installing a new front door, because of the room needed to manoeuvre the heavy frame unit in I was left with some fairly large cavities to fill. Expanding foam is the answer; Gorilla Filler was chosen mostly as its a well branded name. I chose a 500ml can because although I had quite big gaps (4off 100mm x 300mm x 20mm deep) I know from past experiences that a small can goes a long way. Also, injecting too much can work out being very messy, because when you have done injecting, the foam will keep expanding, and there is no way to stop it (look at the mess in my second picture). Sealing the gap before injecting the foam is a must, so I shuttered around the hole and drilled a 8mm hole for the pipe. I got it right in picture 1, but got slapstick in picture 2. Gorilla Filler is much more sticky than any other foam filler I've used. Thats a good thing, especially for fitting window and door frames being gluey, but make a mess and its a bit of effort to clean up. My wife came to the rescue and provided me with a huge bottle of nail polish remover. Its the biz! To cap it.. Gorilla Filler is very easy to use, and being glue based its an ideal product for construction projects. It was touch dry within an hour, and apart from the huge gooey mess I made in my second pic, all the shuttering was removed within two hours. Nail polish remover made cleaning easy, so a super product to use. Amazon did their usual, I placed my order at 3pm, and my Gorilla foam was delivered 12:30 the next day. If I have to find a negative.. The nozzle head leaked (in pic) so although it caused me no problems, I would not hve been able to reuse the container later once that foam had set.
