Big PRO
Brilliant machine, incredibly heavy and it is quite a size compared to the other Sizzix cutting machines. But, as with everything you get what you pay for and this is what is says, a pro machine, built for the professional. The quality of the build reflects this in every way. There is a small space for storage beneath the tray where you could easily store thinlits, or paper, for example. The tray and cutting pads move through the machine as you turn the handle. A slight push until it 'catches' is necessary sometimes, but it does glide through easily. I have Fibromyalgia and Arthritis and I can use it without any problem. As the machine is so solid and heavy, it does not move on the table when you're working which is a big bonus for me. I have a different machine made by a different manufacturer, it folds when not in use, and you open it out to use and it moves all the time when I'm using it. This became very frustrating for me because I have problems with arthritis and could not hold it steady and that was when I decided to invest in the Sizzix Big Shot PRO. There is no such problem with th Sizzix Big Shot PRO. This machine stays put, no matter what you are cutting. It will cut many different materials, paper, card, leather, tin (as in drinks cans), foam, and felt and cotton materials. I absolutely love it. It did take me a little while to get used to it, working out which combination of plate and shim to use for different dies, but what an amazing machine offering so many possibilities.Buy it if you're serious about cutting and crafting, anything from making greeting cards, to hand made quilting, bunting, toys and more. It will take every die that Sizzix has made no problem. It will save you so much time cutting.Since buying this I also bought a Sizzix Big Shot to have next to me on another desk. I put smaller items through it as needed. Why? Well, just because it suits my working pattern and is handy for those small finicky bits and pieces I need to do quickly.I have also bought some quilting dies for the Big Shot Pro and cannot wait to get stuck in and hand cut cloth for quilts, something I would never have dreamed of doing before. Safe to say the Big Shot Pro will open up a whole new world of inspiration and creativity for you. I have no hesitation in recommending it. All of Sizzix products are simply the best on the market in my opinion.

A joy to use.
For me this is the best of all die cutting machines. It will cut deep dies and thin ones with a gliding smoothness which makes it a joy to use.I run craft groups and help with local charities and I cut large number of shapes each week, and I love that it will cut fabric, felt, plastic sheets, wood veneers, foil, thin cork sheets .P.V.A., Mylar, cardboard and multiple layers of paper at once.I make several fabric banners each year using various alphabets, which is so quick and easy. After a trip to the arts and crafts recycle centre I am busy finding new ways of using both dies and materials, the possibilities are endless.

sizzix big shot die cutter
great easy to use, embossing is fantastic, the pattern comes out well. The die cutting is great they cut out well on card, paper, felt and all sorts of material, i`ve tried it on fleece and it works well. Well worth the money.

Take the enjoyment out of crafting
I have the big shot plus and the big shot foldaway..excellent tools for papercrafting, in my opinion they are the best die cutter tools on the market. So when I saw the big shot pro A3 size machine I had no qualms to buy it.When I opened it I found I had to buy cutting plates to be able to use the machine productively. When cutting paper with dies the machune WOULD NOT cut in the centre of the roller so my dies wouldnt cut through the paper in the middle...i bought shims and used too much paper and card trying to get the middle of embossing folders and dies to make an impression or cut completely..i could not get a good result for cutting paper (never mind card). Its was too fussy and major work, and frustrating to cut paper with a die in this machine and made me question having the machine at all. It took the enjoyment out of crafting and was expensively frustrating.I decided to return it.The roller is really long so I can understand why the middle didnt emboss or cut but it sort of made the machine useless because thats what its supposed to be used for.I will stick with my big shot plus and foldaway. I dont think sizzix have totally thought out their big machine. I know sometime shims are needed but this big shot pro took the biscuit.

This machine is so much better than my previous big shot
This machine is so much better than my previous big shot. My only complaint would be how heavy it is.

Fab machine, and great service.
This is a lovely piece of equipment, unfortunately I had to return it as it was too large for both my space and my requirements. I have a big shot which does the jobs i need it to, for now. It was collected within two days of request and refund only took days. Very impressed.

It's a must have.
Having used the smaller Bigshot for about 8-10 years and found it brilliant. I have always looked at the Big Shot pro but couldn't justify the cost, but I am now making larger projects for Wedding etc. and decided to treat myself. I only wish I had stumped up for it in the first place. It's brilliant. Thank you for selling it at a good price. If anyone is just staring out, I would go for it and get the Bigshot Pro.

Rubbish!
Having read great reviews on this, I went ahead and ordered one, what a mistake! It doesnt cut through card, even with extra shims Nd no matter how I arrange different plates, it will not emboss, it either rips or has no effect.I have now bought a gemini and that is brilliant. Wish I had saved my money, it is now sat unused in the corner.Maybe I just got a dodgy one, as everyone else raves about them.
