Bose SoundLink Around-Ear Wireless Headphones II - White

I got these to use when out dog walking - simple, great sound, keep your ears warm, don't cut the world off, look superb. For that kind of job they are great.They are also great for general music listening, or even zooming / Teams / Skype / etc because the sound is lovely (well, it's Bose - what do you expect?). But these are NOT noise cancelling, though they look identical to the QC-35s. They are NOT really even noise isolating, just over-ear phones. I can remain aware of the world around without being oppressed by it but in very noisy environments (public transport, busy city streets - remember those? - loud public spaces) then they won't block out enough sound to let you really get your groove on. I'm fine with that, you may not be.Battery life is phenomenal. Truly amazing. The noise-cancelling headphones have good battery life but these have even less work to do so the battery life is even better.Sound quality is right up there - not quite on par with my Grado SR-80s but you wouldn't start a fight in a pub over the difference.Style is fab - classic shape but really smart in white and tan, and they do come with a nice case.Like all other Bose headphones the ear cups turn the "wrong" way when you are hanging them round your neck which is always annoying. If you don't know what I mean then you have a very thin neck and don't need to turn the cups sideways for extra comfort - lucky you, just don't nod too hard :)So there you go - simple, effective, BASIC headphones that sound fabulous, look great and probably won't fill every niche you have. If QC-35s could turn off the ANC they would be the superior choice everywhere, but they can't and sometimes you need situational awareness, not dead silence, and then these fit the bill just nicely.Oh and they come with a cable so you can use them even if the battery is flat, as long as you have a headphone socket and don't need the microphone. Nice touch.

Ok so the headline is a little bit misleading, but it is definitely ONE of the best purchases I have ever made. These headphones are like sliced bread to me, best invention ever. Wired headphones are like so last decade!!I mainly use my headphones for the gym and for meditation and more recently, yoga. The experience of not catching the wire when I am on the treadmill and the fear of my phone dropping, completely removes my stress and gives me more of a reason to actually go to the gym in the first place.Ok in terms of quality I knew I wanted nothing but Bose. My husband recently purchased a bluetooth speaker and the sound quality is amazing so I knew that Bose would not fail me and I was right. I love the fact that the headphones cup my ears rather than press on them. My last pair were Dr Beats and after I got a helix piercing I was no longer able to use them due to the pain of the headphones pressing on my ears. My Dr Beats have also broken and are really rubbish compared to these.In terms of noise cancellation - I think this means whether I can hear other noises when I use my headphones, if that is right then yes, you totally don't hear anything else. However I would have loved them even more if other people couldnt heard what i was listening to. I am one of those people that gets slightly embarassed when other people can hear my music. Recently I was listening to Tiffany Haddish's audiobook and with the amount of effin and jeffin she does it made me quickly turn down the volume in case other people could hear what she was saying. I don't want people thinking I'm a chav. But had I not been so cheap I would have purchased the next spec up which solves this problem, oh well maybe next time.The only thing I am worried about now is wearing them down to the extent of another reviewer on here - not a pretty sight. But you do get a nifty little case to put them in to protect them.So all in all, excellent product and super happy with my purchase.

To start of with, the headphones arrived very well packaged the next day. Thumbs up to Amazon for the quick delivery and packaging.So when I went to collect my headphones from the reception of my halls, I was handed a parcel which was very very light and just thought wow. As always, the product was packaged very well by Bose. Unboxing was quick and easy. Inside the box was a few instruction manuals and the warranty information. Then there was the headphone case, in which contained the headphones themselves, a charging cable and a back-up aux cord.Now onto the headphones. They were very easy to set-up with my laptop and phone. Comfort-wise, they are superb. I've only worn them around my flat so far and comfort has not been an issue, although my ears got a little warm after a few hours but this is expected with all closed-back headphones. Sound isolation is quite good for passive headphones. The bluetooth range is fantastic on these, I can leave my phone/laptop in my room and walk around my whole flat (6 bedroom) without connection dropping. Battery life is rated at about 15 hours which is excellent and the headphones come with a back-up cable to use if the headphones run out of battery when you're on the go. Sound quality does drop with the cable, but the headphones still sound very decent. However, sound quality when on bluetooth is fantastic. Personally, I think these are the best sounding headphones which I have used. Sound is objective, but to me, they have a perfect balance of highs, mids and lows. Nothing overpowers anything. The bass is strong and tight, whilst the mids and highs are very clear.Overall, I will give these headphones a 9/10. The only thing which I think may be an issue is that they don't fold, however, when in the carrying case, they don't take up too much space so it isn't too much of an issue.
