Yes - i use it with an extension lead so i can position it on the roof of the lorry cab - works great in most places - obviously you'll find the odd place it wont work but on the whole its been fantastic.

No, because there is an ordinary coaxial plug on the end, not the type used on a VM digibox. Why would you need this type of aerial on a VM system, anyway as this is a cable system, not a terrestrial system? Regards

Mine came in 2 parts. A magnetic base and a “mast” which screwed to the base. There are 4 “grooved rings”, one at the top and three further down - there is nothing which attaches to these. I can only assume that you have a different model to me, sorry
