Just cannot get them to come close to the real pods
1 st review. Tried several types of ground coffee the only way they work is to use two pods one after another.2nd Review I decided to open up a normal pod and I repacked the coffee into the reusable capsule. The reusable was almost as good as the single use pod. The issue is the coffee, I am currently regrounding the coffee grounds to increase the surface area. Once I repack the capsule I get a stronger coffee taste, but if I leave the capsule and repour, I get more coffee out. I plan to look for a finely ground coffee or buy expresso beans and grind them myself. Its turned into a science project

You need to use two pods to make normal strength coffee
Many of the other reviews that mention extremely weak coffee and water leaking into the tray are perfectly correct. The problem is that normal disposable pods are crushed between two plates with spikes and the water is injected directly inside the pod. To stop those spikes making holes in these pods they are made much smaller with much lower volume and therefore less capacity to hold coffee. This means a much weaker brew so we had to use two pods per cup to get the equivalent flavour. And because the water is not injected directly into the pod but pushed in from the outside with only a flimsy rubber seal under the rim of the cup, it is more likely to leak water. This is made worse if too much coffee is pressed into the capsule because the water simply cannot get through. So you need two pods lightly filled with the machine set to "small cup" or "espresso" to get the equivalent strength of coffee to one normal pod set to "big cup" - you will still get a little leakage into the bottom but not much. It does work and the coffee tastes nice but of course it is quite a lot of effort!

Seemed like a good idea at the time
When I bought my first Nespresso machine, this seemed like a great idea. After a few weeks the novelty wore off and more and more coffee producers started providing pods. They moved to the back of the press fairly quickly. Pity.

Pretty Good...
They are okay. Espresso Coffee Essential!!!My first experiment involved filter coffee and it was a weak, pathetic disaster! The coffee went straight into the sink after I tasted it. My second experiment involved some Starbucks Espresso and it worked a treat. I'm not going to say 'as good as a real 'nespresso pod' - it isn't. It is good though; it forms a creme and tastes good.I like to do my bit and these are clearly reusable; no idea how many times because I'm at about 6 uses so far.The scoop is good to load up the pod and then act to compress the coffee into it; I have found a scoop and 1/4 is optimum. Then brush the excess back into the bag and clip the top shut. It operates just like a normal pod.Of course cleaning it out is a small chore; the grounds go into compost and the little brush is okay to clean it out.I'm not sending up fireworks about this capsule, but I am smiling about it! Given the cost of Nespresso-branded pods they are a no brainer; I bought some others from Aldi and they are perfectly satisfactory.

Small disappointment
Had to use 2 pods for each drink, as even with a strong coffee, the flavour was weak. Also, there was a lot of water spillage into my Nespresso InissimaHowever, I was pleased I purchased this product with 6 pods, as some only had one.

Mediocre
These are a great idea and I liked the fact they are re usable but I found it hard to get a good strength of coffee through them. I tried several different ways and unfortunately resorted back to using the desposable pods and recycling them instead.

Rather Good
There are many reviews on the subject of re-useable pods which caused me to hesitate over the purchase and which would be best. The stainless steel ones are very expensive and there seems to be some controversy as to whether the the ones with foil stick-on lids are superior to the ones with metal caps. I was attracted to these plastic ones initially because you get 6 for a very reasonable price and the site mentioned that they were new, improved versions suggesting that the manufacturers have been serious about R and D of their product. In particular I noticed that in the base of the pod there was a fine stainless steel mesh which was reproduced in the lid. I used finely ground expresso coffee. The pod is held over the container as it reduces the spillage of coffee over the work surface. Using the plastic scoop supplied I use 1.5 scoops of coffee and tamp it down firmly with the back of the scoop so that the coffee is almost level with the top of the pod, brush off the excess coffee and snap the lid shut. Some care is required to line the pod up in the pod chamber of the Nespresso machine otherwise it will fall straight through. I found that I get a perfect expresso with a very good creama. I am pleasantly surprised at how good this product is and with the 6 pack you can make up enough pods in one go to make several cups in a row.Once used and cooled the pods are easy to empty under a running tap. My advice is don't waste your money on the expensive metal versions and try these. They make great coffee and reduce waste.

Not so.great
The capsules are easy to fill and clean. The downside is that they don't seem to fit great and the pressure blows past, so a really weak coffee and a load of wasted water.Would not recommend
