Mann Filter W 719/45 Spin-on Oil Filter

I was on re-order for these filters for about 4 orders then they stopped supplying them. Great filter to use on an Audi.

It fits exactly and seems to do a great job. But I've never had an oil analysis, so take that with a grain of salt.

I can confirm that this does fit a 2015 Audi Q5, despite what Amazon says. I also found out, like a few other reviewers have, that this filter comes in one piece but actually has two parts - the filter, and the metal screw fitting with plastic ring. The metal screw and plastic ring may end up being left on the engine when you unscrew the filter, I suppose especially if the last installer torqued the filter too tight. In my case, unscrewing the old metal screw from the engine was easy enough but if one is not aware of this possibility, it can be quite confusing and frustrating because you can end up with two male parts (the new oil filter and the filter mount on the engine) that obviously don't fit.

My Audi has been down now for over 9 months but I use to buy these very often and changed my oil regularly using these filters only. These are the only ones I will ever use, thank you!

Fits 2012+ C7 Audi A6. same engine as all the other 2L TFSI VW/AUDI engines. Just check part number (719/45) on yours because there are different generations of the 2L. My dad's A6 has the same engine as my 2012 GTI, just mounted 90 degrees to the right. The stock filter is still 719/45 just with a VW or Audi emblem, and both are made in Germany. Mann are essentially stock filters sold to consumer instead of the dealer, hence the different package. This can be good because I change my oil at 5,000 miles, and when I go to the dealer for the 10,000 oil change, i can see they actually changed the filter since it has different markings(I found out Vista didn't change my brother's BMW 135i oil filter after I opened it up, we used a Mann during the half-time service). Price is good, but not the best. My local Audi/VW shop sells for $10 + tax which is still less than the $13 Amazon but if it's a drive away it's cheaper to get it delivered to your house. Wal-Mart just started selling the FRAM equivalents for the VW/Audi but they are $20-30 and still not in stock at all stores plus these are made in Mexico, not to bash on Mexicans.

There was no crush washer for the drain plug included with this filter, as there is with the BMW filters. Major hassle.

As my Audi has gotten up there in miles, I've increased the frequency at which I change the oil, so instead of every 10K its now 5K and swap for fresh oil. This filter is priced right and spins on & off without any issues. Great OEM equivalent (or better) for the engine and performance. I've never had an issue with Mann products in general, this filter included. I use their products on both my BMW's and my Audi. Swear by their quality for sure.

Very high quality oil filter, I’ve been using it on my 2.0 TFSI Audi TT for several oil changes now and never had any issues. They fit really well, very good value for money (especially if you pick them up on sale) and function as they should. My go to filter.

I've been using Mann filters on my VW for years. reliable and well built. Will continue to purchase from Amazon if they maintain price competitiveness with big box stores.
