SUNIX IT USB 3.1 Dual Port USB-C PCI Express (w/Alternate-Mode) (UPD2018)

I have had great success with this card and a cal-digit dock on my Ubuntu Linux desktop computer. I have 2 displays connected to the dock running at 60Hz refresh rate and 1920 x 1080 resolution. If I want to run at 144Hz refresh rate I can only run one display at 1080. I believe that this is because you only plug one of the display outputs from the graphics card into this USB-C card. That said this card is amazing. If you have a desktop box you built and you are like I want to run one cable through the wall and plug in all my peripherals into one box heck ya man. That's what I did and it works great. The biggest caveat and something I wasted like 50 or 60 bucks on is that you gotta get high quality USB-C cables. If you get a ThunderBolt 3 or 4 cable they're gonna be mad expensive but it's the difference from nothing working and it all works well. Good luck this card is great!

Works perfectly with DisplayPort output from my GTX 950 video card, to the DisplayPort input of this card.Then it has a USB-C in the middle that gives video out, at 4K resolution. This is if your video card supports 4K.I got it to work with my Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 drawing tablet, which operates at up to 4K resolution.At first there was a little trouble as the middle usb-c port didn't provide any signal to the tablet. Then I switched to the outside usb-c port which is data/power only, and my system immediately recognized my tablet. But there was no video. After I installed the drivers and set up the tablet I was able to plug the usb-c back into the middle port on this card and get full 4K resolution to my tablet, which acts as a 2nd monitor.This may have been due to the Cintiq having a short 3-foot or so usb-c to usb-c cable, and being stretched out it might not have connected properly. When I moved it closer to the computer tower, it works great.Note, this is not a mini-displayport. It is the full size.Also, the computer made the connect, disconnect hardware sound, which repeated 3 or 4 times when I rebooted my computer, two different times. Not sure why.

I thought all my problems were solved, but after a week of light use, the display feed stopped working. The mouse and keyboard input still work from my docking station, but the monitors do not register. I have no clue how to fix this or how to contact the vendor to try and troubleshoot. Please assist if possible.

This product did not work in my computer. Amazon support informed as follows:"This is only compatible with Windows 10 build 14393, Windows 8.1 build 9600 and Windows 7 build 7601.The reason why it is not working is because its not compatible with your windows build."I am giving this two stars to call attention to this information. It may be an excellent product when paired with the right build.

I wanted to post a review immediately. I have spent countless hours researching how to get my LG Ultrafine 4k monitor that I use with my MacBook Pro to also connect to my Windows computer. It has only been a day, but this card is working as advertised! My setup is a Kaby Lake i5, 16 Gig DDR4 ram, msi RX580 Gaming X graphics card, and it is running Windows 10. Please note that SUNIX recommends that you are running Windows 10, have an "i" series processor, and a PCIE Gen 3 slot on your motherboard. I got both the MSI card and the SUNIX card at the same time. My install process was to put both cards in, install the RX drivers, restart, install the SUNIX drivers, restart, then hook the cards together, then run the cable from my LG Ultrafine to the SUNIX DP/USB-C out port.I will update if I have any issues, but I am VERY happy that this was able to merge my $700 monitor for use with both my MacBook Pro and my Windows PC. If you need a solution, I have researched it and this is the ONLY way that you can make this happen right now.

***Update***After much trial and tribulation trying to get this card to work, Sunix was finally able to resolve the issue. It did take a long time and one card returned but the card works and I'm able to get video over the DP USB-C port. After a ton of back and forth with Sunix and MSI, Sunix determined that the chip on the card required a new firmware to be compatible with my AMD platform. I did have to find another PC that would boot correctly with the card installed, so that was a kinda of a pain, but after running the firmware update on the card, I installed it on my AMD machine and it worked. Once I plugged in the included DP cable into my graphics card and into the USB-C card, I plugged in a USB-C cable to my screen and it worked flawlessly at 1440p 60Hz. I am only upgrading it to 4 stars and not 5, because it did take an extremely long time to figure out this issue.Original Review:I received the card and installed it basically right after I got it. I installed into my system, an AMD Ryzen 3950X on a MSI Meg X570 ACE, and it didn't work. I tried all of my PCI-E ports and nothing. I reached out to Sunix and their customer support was helpful at first. They gave me a couple of troubleshooting steps to follow but after that they went radio silent. I've attempted to reach out to them twice in the last several days and provided pictures of my system and all of the information they asked for and nothing.

Was a bit nervous about this bit of kit but it worked almost flawlessly out of the box. I had invested in a 1 m extension cable (usb 3.2) but the added cable length made no difference to performance. Can now hot swap between my desktop, laptop and Surface Pro without fiddling around with monitors and mouse/ keyboard dongles.Am running Windows 11 and using a Dell D6000 Dock with 2 1080p displayport outputs

Einbau in einen älteren Rechner, um einen USB-C Hub mit Monitor, Tastatur, Maus und Ethernet schnell zwischen diesem Rechner und einem Notebook hin und her stecken zu können.Funktioniert wie es soll. Ein kurzes Displayport-Kabel für die Verbindung zur Grafikkarte liegt bei. Alle genannte Peripherie funktioniert auch.Allerdings nur, wenn der Hub direkt in diese Karte eingesteckt wird. Mit Verlängerungskabel (damit ich nicht unter den Tisch krabbeln muss) hat witzigerweise der Ethernetanschluss nicht mehr funktioniert. Monitor und der Rest ging noch. Zugegebenermaßen wird mit Verlängerungskabel die USB-Spezifikation im Anwendungsfall nicht mehr eingehalten (Kabellänge), daher kein Vorwurf.Ergänzung: Aktive Treiberinstallation von CD war unter Win10 nicht nötig. Nur eine Netzwerkverbindung hat der Rechner gebraucht, um sich alle Treiber, die nicht sowieso bei Win10 dabei sind, aus dem Netz zu holen. Keine Fragezeichen im Gerätemanager blieben übrig.

La he utilizado para conectar un monitor táctil con entrada USB-C DP Alt Mode en un PC (y tiene ya unos años) y todo a la primera. Instalar la tarjeta, conectar la salida de la tarjeta gráfica a la entrada de esta tarjeta y a funcionar. Muy sencillo.
