Awesome - 10 years ago would have cost 2x or 3x as much.
We have had multiple universal remotes. Some by the most reputable manufacturers that have cost 50 to 80 dollars over the years. Those have had their problems and often times don’t last as long as I wish (Durability wise). At less than 10 dollars it was time to give this a try.First thing I noticed was how it looks. I personally like that it is a uniform size. I think it looks better. The silver brushed to looks great. It is just shiny enough. The second thing I noticed was the backlight. Very nice. Bright, but not too bright. Some of the edge buttons are a little less lit. Not bad, you just might have to look a little closer perhaps in dark lighting. I didn’t need to, but it really depends on your eyesight. I also like how the lighting only turns on with the press of a button, and turns off in 10 seconds or less.Setup was super easy. Following the directions was simple to connect a Samsung TV and Blu-ray player, a Bose sound system and a Roku (cannot connect one that uses Bluetooth - must use IR). The provided codes all worked and using the buttons was easy. We have all 4 things connected to this and it is easy to use. I can control all menus for said items.I guess the one thing I wish is that on some of the more expensive remotes you can actually program different controller buttons to different devices without having to use the device buttons at the top (like making the volume always be the sound system and not the TV when other buttons control the TV or Roku). That would be nice, but not expected in a 10 dollar remote.Just a little while ago this could easily have cost more. It is a great value and very easy to use.

Easy to set up, functions as expected
When batteries exploded in my last remote, I needed a replacement. This one has been working well. It comes with a list of codes to use to set up various devices. I was able to add my television, Blu-ray player, and even an ancient VCR to this remote. The buttons light up, so it is easy to see them even if you are watching TV in the dark.

I like this remote very much
Easy set up. Easy to use. I programmed my LG TV quickly using the first code on the list. Took 2 minutes. Same with my Roku box. I don't see a code for my Google Chromecast with TV dongle but it turns out I don't need one. It just works using the TV selection and changing the TV's input to the proper HDMI port. How easy is THAT ? Luv it. Good universal remote. I highly recommend it.

Backlit Universal Remote Sets Up Easily, as described
This is a good remote control. I bought it so that we wouldn't need to go between using the TV remote control and the Roku control (too easy to misplace one or the other). This universal remote needed no configuring to work with our Samsung smart TV or the Roku. It worked right off the bat. The only thing is that there can sometimes be some "lag time" between pushing buttons in the Roku settings and the TV responding, which is unlike the instantaneous action of the Roku control Even so, this is a good all-in-one solution for those seeking a single remote with the advantage of a backlit keyboard.

In short while buttons are not responsive.
Absolute piece of garbage. Received it in March and already most of the buttons are non responsive. Put in brand new batteries and this did not help. I hated giving it a one star rating because it does not deserve that high of a rating. DO NOT purchase and try another brand.

Works with CRT TVs!
I was looking for a Universal Remote to work with my ancient Emerson ewf2002 CRT TV. Came across a reddit post while perusing the interwebs and they recommended this one, and low and behold it works! The remote comes with a list of codes for each TV manufacturer and it was one of the first few codes that worked for my TV. Sweet. Now I can watch my horror VHS tapes on my CRT TV, the way God intended.

Like others have stated does not work with all devices
Stuck the batteries in and viola the smart tv works fine. However, trying to connect the Creative labs V2 with code 2606 fails. All the other codes I tried also failed. Some would partially work like activating the Tr (Tremble) or BA (Bass) but, not the simple on/off volume buttons. Ran the auto detection and it flashed 2146. (Have NO idea what this device is and certainly not my sound bar). It's light it kinda works and back light is good. Really trying to cut down on all the remotes. Hate fumbling for them at night shutting everything down. One last con I ABSOLUTELY hate the big bu-tt on this thing. (It's were the batteries go. 2 each AA) your mileage my vary. I didn't get past my mail box. :)

4 function remote, perfect replacement
it looks like all the reviews for the 2,4,6 function remotes are grouped together. i bought the 4 function remote with big back light volume buttons at top. Easy to program to my LG TV and Panasonic blu-ray player. the key layout is easy to follow and no more miss pushed buttons like the original LG remote, which was apparently designed by drunk blind people with 3 fingers. The GE remote was well work the 12 bucks
