I put it in the freezer at work, and wore it home. it would keep my core cool in the hot summer rides home. if I was moving the wind keeps me cool. but I was riding in rush hour Denver stop and go. terrible scenario but rather than going around the town the fastest route was straight through it. this helped so much.

Not too bad, I like it. Will update if I have any issues but so far so good.

I’ve added this to Kell’s Disability Must Buy List! My hubby has a chronic illness that makes him extremely heat sensitive. Yet he still enjoys working outside! I ordered this to see if it helps him stay more comfortable in the heat. He really enjoys it as it keeps him cool for about an hour. This is the perfect time limit as it’s important he rest out of the heat often. So while you’d expect it to last longer, if you have health issues that necessitate this vest, then after an hour in the heat you SHOULD be going inside to hydrate and take a break!!We store this in the freezer in the included bag, and it stores easily! We lay it flat and can pile things on top if needed. This vest is well made and perfect when working outside of the home!

The bags of "dry ice" do not deflate once the vest is dry as far as I can tell. I still dip in the sink for ten minutes each night to get a nice layer of ice in the vest. It lasts for 30 minutes in 100 degree dry heat and needs to be put back in a freezer for a few hours to be useful again. Putting in a fridge is not sufficient. It's like wearing an air conditioning. Like a cold hug. Makes it comfortable to be outside for 30 minutes. Best ice vest for the price.

Frozen fine was cold but was to small and not easily adjusted. Even when it was adjusted it's max size was to smallAlso tends to mold. 2 days after using it and the thing was covered in thick mold which wasn't easy to clean off

I'm about as well acclimated to this environment as an "outsider" can be, but the high plains desert isn't for everyone. I've a buddy from Minnesota who is new here, and he's having a tough time working outdoors in this dry heat. This is going to help him immensely, no doubt about that. This thing, and others like it, can very easily save a life, simply by preventing heat exhaustion - or worse. For 20 bucks this is a real no brainer.

The vest is very stiff, making it difficult to move with it on. Also, I should have researched and read more but I thought the vest would stay cool for a longer period of time -- you can maybe get 10-12 minutes out of the cold if you're in a room-temperature environment. Overall I would not recommend unless you're looking for something to cool you down quickly indoors, and don't need to move much.
