Very good waterbath, pleasantly amazed. I first ordered one of the 5L models, and it unfortunately came damaged, with the thermometer display severely misaligned. I sent it back, and Amazon sent me another one. I have had this 5L waterbath for a few months now, and it heats up very quickly. I love the touch display with no physical mushy buttons that some older waterbath models may have. It also functions as intended. The 5L model is big enough to hold a 500ml plastic, short media bottle from Sigma-Aldrich and a tube rack with x4 50ml test tubes. However, that's the maximum things it can have, at least for me, in the 5L model. Attached is an example of how big the 5L version is. It is also big enough to hold two 500ml plastic media bottles, but no tube rack. If you require more than two media bottles and multiple samples to thaw (such as fetal bovine serum, frozen cell stock, etc.), I suggest buying a bigger version. For our lab, the 5L version is perfect because we don't have much physical space due to the many instruments taking up lab space. Also, we wanted something smaller so that changing the distilled water and cleaning the water bath itself would not become a repetitive hassle.

Wow, I wasn't expecting much with the low cost but this is really nice. This is by far the nicest water bath in our lab. I just wanted a dedicated water bath for warming media and now I wish I ordered one of the larger ones. Really stable temperatures and the lid did not cost extra like some water baths. The built in timer and the programmable temperature set points come in handy. Looks easy to calibrate and has a very small footprint. When one of our older units int he microbial lab die, I am probably going to try the 13 liter or 24 liter model. Fingers crossed it is already a very rusted unit. always nice when a quick purchase works out!

This little machine has been a lifesaver as far as convenience goes. I have a small cosmetics company that requires powders and chemical beads to be melted down. This can take hours sometimes. This little water bath has saved me so much work because I can just set it and forget it. It has quite the user manual so I'm sure it has lots of things you can set, but I don't need it to do much more than heat up and hold temperature. As far as that goes, it was really easy to use.

Most of our water baths are spoken for in the lab and we needed a small water bath for preparing growth medium for a new test. We did not have really high expectations because of the price of this water bath but, this is a really nice water bath! We use the programmable set point buttons for different procedures, and it saves time as we don’t have to manually change the temperature. The glass touch panel is easy to use, and we may purchase the larger unit to replace one of our older baths. The seller was very helpful in finding a larger water bath that would fit on our bench.
