Cool looking Type-C Hub and Card reader, nice design, high quality and looks awesome with my iMac. Color is matches perfectly with my other accessories. Very easy to install, just plug and play, very user friendly and very helpful for my job. Will purchase another one for my home use. Reads all my SD and Micro cards. In my opion a "Must-Have" for iMac users. Already recommended it to all my colleagues. Very happy and satisfied with my purchase. Shipping was also super quick, which I always do appreciate, defintely 5 star product! Very happy with my purchase.

I've bought 3 of these so far. I use one on an M1 Mac and it works fantastic. USB hard drives, thumb drives and SD cards no problem. My wife has a Lenovo all in one with Windows 11. It works great on her PC and is far more convenient than fiddling with the USB slots on the back. No complaints, and no setup needed.

Great piece of tech. Sleek. I like how it matches my MacBook and Mac mini. The only issue I’ve had with it is sometimes it doesn’t recognize my SD cards. It happens on rare occasions but if I remove the card and re-insert it typically fixes the issue. Overall I’d recommend it.

Very handy for the newer laptops with limited plug in places.

Purchased a M1 iMac with only a 256GB SSD so I knew I would need an expansion port. this was perfect since it matched the light blue cover and sites conveniently in the base foot of the iMac. I plug my external 1TB SSD into one of the USB ports and all is perfect. Also researched how to go into terminal mode to make my iphone updates work directly with the external 1TB SSD instead of the internal SSD so I had sufficient storage to do backups.

I purchased this back in 2022 and am writing this review in 2024, so I've had this for a while. It worked pretty well when I first purchased it, but after a few months of use the SD card stopped recognizing cards when they were first inserted. I'd need to pull the card out once or twice before it would recognize the card until, eventually, it just stopped altogether. Then, as you can see from the photo, the plastic tab with the contacts in the usb ports started bending and they wouldn't always recognize USB devices being inserted. Finally it got to the point where more often than not, I'd just end up using a Thunderbolt to USB-A adapter connected directly to my Mac. I recently replaced this with an actual Thunderbolt 4 dock which has been working reliably for the last few months. This looks impressive. The outer shell is made from aluminum and plastic with a rubber pad on the bottom so that it doesn't slip all over a desk. But the actual internals are poorly engineered and won't stand up to use over time.

It’s really hard to find a good combination of aesthetics and functionality in SD reader USB hub combos but Satechi really pulled it off with this product. It looks and even feels great. It’s well weighted and beautifully designed. Couple that with USB C transfer speeds and a well thought out design you’ve got an absolute winner. Who would have ever imagined that a USB hub/card reader combo could be this impressive? Lol

I bought this to help hook up other peripherals with my new MacMini M4. It seems to be working OK at this time.It seems to be very compatible with the Mac. I only gave it four stars because I have not had it long enough to see how long it will last. I didn't need it on my old Mac Mini because that had USB-A ports on it. The new one only has USB-C ports; so to hook up my monitor and older printer I need a couple USB-A ports.

Having bought a new iMac and wanting to use it in place of my usual Windows desktop for most purposes, I naturally needed a hub in order to use standard USB items since the iMac only has USB C ports. I will admit to spending a week wondering which model I should buy and I kept returning to this Saitechi brand, especially since the blue colour (almost) matches the iMac I bought. In the end, I bit the bullet and bought the Saitechi, in spite of the price. The build quality is really nice, the design is great and it sits neatly on the foot of the iMac itself so is easy to access and doesn't take up any desk space. It was immediately recognised and I have had no problems using the ports to, for instance, transfer important files (future Mac converts, note you need to have drives formatted to exFAT in order for a Mac to fully read/write to them, and this format is also accepted by Windows). I know USB hubs are available at a much cheaper price but I have to say I have been impressed with this model and can certainly recommend it.
