Easy to Install
Super easy to use! The color matches perfectly with our washer. The fit is perfect; making it look like they shave always been there. Quality overall is good.

Work well, very snug, which is what you want.
Dishwasher is only a year old, but almost all the tines are showing rust on tips. Was shocked by price of new racks, so got these because they are made of rubber, not PVC. It took about 30 minutes to put them on. I used alcohol to clean the tines, then used olive oil to make installation much easier. I tried pulling one off after I put it on, and it didn't come off easily. This is good because the whole point is to get a water tight seal. I notice one tine was particular damaged on its post, so I simply cut the tips off four other caps, then basically covered the entire tine. These match really well and honestly look like OEM. Even if you have a brand new dishwasher, I would recommend getting these. Now time will tell how well they hold up, but I'm sure I've extended the life of the racks by doing this. These are so water tight, I see no need to apply any other chemicals to the tips. Oil olive is what we use for seasoning iron cookware, so I'm pretty sure that's the only additional thing you might want to do.

BOIL. AND. TWIST.
I can't emphasize the title enough. So, like many others, I struggled to get these on as they came (which was, of course, without any instructions whatsoever). After consulting google and confirming that yes, caps and dishrack tines all come in standard sizes and there was no chance I had ordered the wrong thing, I did what a few other reviews have mentioned and put them in warm water first. It helped a bit, but not a lot, and here's what I found to be the best process through a lot of trial and error:- Keep a small pot of water *just* at boiling on the stove.- Toss a handful of the caps in and wait 10-15 seconds.- Using tongs or tweezers, pick one cap out of the boiling water and give it a quick shake to empty the water inside. (If you miss the brief window to put it on a tine and it cools, pop it back in the water.)- Quickly slide it onto a tine using a spiral/twisting motion all the way down, like screwing on a bottlecap. The twisting is important - not only does it help it get all the way down before it cools, but if you don't, the cap can get bunched up along the way and you'll have to try and either smooth it out of pull it off to re-do it.- When you've used up the ones in the pot, toss in another handful and repeat.Once I had that system in place, it was like night and day, and I got my *entire* bottom rack re-covered in under five minutes. The caps are SO much easier to work with when they're the consistency of a thick water balloon, especially if you have some tines that are misshapen from the coat peeling and/or rust swelling up (I had a few). That's why I went with four stars - there's nothing wrong with the actual product, but it was way too frustrating for what it is and I wasted a lot of time (and a few of the caps) due to the complete lack of useful instructions.

Problem Solved
These took a bit of elbow grease to apply but once on they were a perfect fit. They're great quality and very durable, as well.

Dishwasher rack covers
They are not what we thought they were. Too short and don't fit the dish holders in our dishwasher

Works great
I had no problem getting these to slip on while wearing a grippy glove to help. Look and work great! Multiple washes since and no movement.

Difficult to slide onto prongs (Whirlpool Brand)
At our old house I needed to use dishwasher caps, and while those slid on easily they also popped off every wash cycle— I’d have to retrieve them from the dishwasher filter. We’re at a different house now with a different brand dishwasher, and need to use prong caps again. These are extremely difficult to slide on. I thought about returning them but I figured I’d try these anyway. Pre-soaking them in a cup of hot water helps make the plastic more pliable. Also, pinching the end while wiggling the caps on helps too. Now I’m having problems getting caps on the rustier prongs as they are malformed.I’m hoping that because the caps are tight they won’t just slide off. If I can get them all on to begin with…
