Magical Beauties Coloring Book: Book 2

This artist spoils us for choice, this coloring book adds to the spoils! I love Christina McAllister's coloring books, the illustrations & subject matters are outstanding. This one is filled with 20 stunning portraits of amazing women. The images are boldly lined & artfully grayscale shaded. The art does not disappoint! The book itself is the same quality as her others, which would be the only weakness, as the paper is kinda Createspace quality. The book is 8 1/2" by 11", softbound, with a note from the artist, very helpful coloring tips, a sample image page & two (also very helpful!) gray scale color testing pages included. I have at least 3 of her other coloring books & love them all! I'd be more than glad to buy any of her other books for myself (I plan to collect them all), as well as give them as gifts.

Without question, one of the most stunning coloring books on the market! The images in Magical Beauties Book 2 will reach right into your soul and take you to a place you've never been. There is much more to this book than just art or a coloring book, but there aren't words to describe it. The images are stunning and breathtaking, and it is one of those books you really don't want to color in because it is so beautiful, yet you know you must because you can only look at it for so long without wanting to be a part of it. Images are on one side only. The artist includes 2 greyscale testing pages to test you colored pencil, which is very helpful. In the beginning of the book there are also instructions on how to use grayscale areas to create dimension. I would give this book a rating of 10 if I could!

Beautiful pictures of women's with decorated faces with elaborate head pieces. All head shots fill the pages plus backgrounds are done in nice designs . I personally like the intro or tips on how to color grayscale, which is why I selected this book? After looking at it again I realize that choosing the right colors will make this a success. There is so much to color, but you really have to be mindful of your color choices.

I love this book! The art work is beautiful and appleals the to ecentric side of me. I also love the details in the drawings. The only reason I gave it a four star is because the gray scale is extremely dark. I'm not sure how others who are more experienced with using gray scale coloring but I had to reprint and lighten considerably to where I felt was sufficient, I then felt better about the pictures. I have had a wonderful, relaxing time coloring these pictures. Thanks Christina!

Another SMASH!!! Gorgeous artwork!!! Cristina does such original artwork. No one can compare. She has lovely videos showing her process in making this whole book on you tube. I love watching her put these pages together as she is making the book! If you want something original and artistically beautiful (even before color is added)...look no more! Create Space paper. One sided. Somewhat gray-ish scale (some shadowing, etc) with both light and darker backgrounds. Very good informational extra pages and pages for practice/ trying out colors. Definitely add a piece of paper between your work space and the next page. Thank You!

Beautiful drawings but not what I expected 🤷🏾‍♀️…To me these are for PRO’s who can detail, highlight, shade etc., I’m afraid to color in it. After speaking with my sista who’s a 👩🏾‍🎨 she encouraged me to try . I’m not that advanced 🤦🏾‍♀️..UPDATE: I took my time and I DID IT 🥰..using: gel, glitter, metallic, neon, brush pens and it came out BEAUTIFULLY

I came across these kinds of pictures on Pinterest and there were a few from this book I wanted....Sooooo glad I got the book.....There are so many more pictures I want to color...Beautiful images, tutorial was helpful in shading and the color testers in the back of the book are very helpful.

Wish the paper was of much more quality, 0ther than that nice pics

WOW!!!! What a stunning book. This is so different from the books I usually buy, I must admit the picture on the cover tempted me to take a look inside, then I went to the youtube link which flicked through the book and I decided to give it a go. I also usually hesitate to buy greyscale books which this range is but when I received the book I was blown away, the artwork is amazing and I found I could use a mix of sharpies and gel pens, finishing off with pencils. [I always tear my pages out so as not to ruin the next one] My only gripe with these books is that the name of the picture is on the back of the previous one so I have gone through and with a silver pen put the names underneath each picture - which does make more sense. I had only coloured 3 pages in when I decided to get another book and yesterday ordered a third one from the same author. So Cristina McAllister well-done and thank you for making your beautiful artwork available for us mere mortals to try to do them justice.
