I bought this Cablet MS902-C3 enclosure after struggling with two other models that completely failed. I was trying to connect my 512GB SK Hynix PC300 NVMe SSD to my OnePlus 12R smartphone via OTG. The first two enclosures I tried (one with a built-in cooling fan and another dual-protocol model) kept disconnecting every 5 seconds. I later learned this was because they drew way too much electrical current from the phone's USB-C port, causing the phone's safety limits to instantly cut the power. This Cablet enclosure solved the problem immediately. Because it uses the Realtek RTL9210 chipset, its power management is fantastic. It draws significantly less baseline power, meaning my phone can easily power the drive without tripping any safety limits. The connection is rock-solid with absolutely zero drops during large file transfers. Pros: Perfect for Mobile OTG: Ultra-low power consumption makes it flawless for Android smartphones and tablets. Stable & Fast: The RTL9210 controller is incredibly stable, avoids random disconnects, and easily maxes out the 10Gbps USB 3.2 speeds. Great Build Quality: The tool-free aluminium case feels premium and passively dissipates heat very well without needing a noisy, power-hungry fan. Perfect Fit: It comfortably houses my standard 2280-size drive with a simple slide-and-lock mechanism. Cons: None for my use case! Just keep in mind that this specific model is for NVMe PCIe drives only (it will not read older SATA M.2 drives). The Verdict: If you are looking to turn a spare NVMe drive into an external drive for your phone or tablet, do yourself a favor: skip the dual-protocol or fan-cooled models and get this one. Highly recommended!

I've been burned by the cheap NVMe enclosures before—the Ugreen and Pi Box types. They overheat and throttle quickly. This Cablet NVMe M.2 Enclosure is the one you should actually get. It costs a bit more, but it’s 100% worth the investment. I'm running a 1TB Seagate Gen 4 NVMe SSD in this thing, and the performance on my Mac Air M4 is seriously impressive. I'm consistently hitting 1500 MB/s read and write speeds. That kind of sustained speed from an external drive is massive. The biggest surprise, though, is the thermal performance. I just finished an 8-hour video editing session, and the enclosure was only slightly warm—it actually felt cooler than my Mac! No throttling, no shutdowns, just steady, fast performance. This is genuinely the best NVMe enclosure I've ever owned.

I think I am the first one to post a feedback about this 40GBPS NVME USB4 Enclosure. I got this enclosure delivered on 16th Jan 2026. Initial impression of product - Build quality - good. metal body with led lights. Cable quality - Good but short in length. Screw holding nvme ssd was loose so had to stick it with outer lid of case. Otherwise installation is easy to do. While using it, I can hear the fan noise from normal distance to enclosure. Enclosure got heated quickly. (Might be trait of such products) LED lights are good for visual. Not a static one but a illuminating LED light. Product is very compact, I thought it will bigger in size compared to normal 10gbps nvme enclosures in market. Testing - I have tested this product with Crucial P2 NVME M.2 SSD 1TB on my Macbook Air M2 16gb 256gb varient. Speed of mentioned SSD were higher than internal ssd so it was a win for me as I am going to install macos on external drive. I am attaching screenshot of speed test of this product and also a photo of the product. So performance and speed is good for me. I have tested it with what I have. Can't comment about other ssd. In case if I found any issues, I will update my review here. 4 stars because of heating issue.(Might change later). Please keep in mind that this is an USB4 Enclosure, not an Thunderbolt enclosure to be precise.

Excellent enclosure! Works perfectly with both NVMe and SATA (NGFF) M.2 SSDs. Plug-and-play setup—no drivers needed. Transfer speeds are very fast, and the USB 3.1 Gen2 performs as advertised. The aluminum body feels premium and helps with heat dissipation. It's compact, sturdy, and reliable. Great value for the price—definitely recommended for anyone needing an external SSD solution.

I ordered it just to try , but what an amazing product, even just holding it in the hands feels so premium, speed is perfect as promised depending on the ssd we are using, a very thoughtful design, only that included thermal pad is not of correct height, so either you have to buy a correct thermal pad or you have to add one more layer. if managed correctly Thermal management is beautiful basically whole case act like a heat sink. feels very sturdy, looks like a product that last.

Works like a charm , body is good quality , honestly could support more speed , and provide dedicated cooling but worth it in the price segment need to work upon cable quality though
