Purchased this tool to replace the timing chain on a 2014 Ford explorer. Worked great at keeping everything aligned. It doesn't stay in place when trying to break the torque on cam phasers, so an additional wrench will still be needed to hold the camshaft in place. The added socket for phasers bolts was a nice touch as well.

These worked perfect for my 3.5l and my 3 7l lincoln ingines.. cams stayed right in place.. they have a tendency to rotate because of valve springs in think..

The cam holders work fine for holding the cams in place. The T55 Torx-Plus socket that is included fits the cam bolts well but is too long to use on the back cams of transverse mounted engines. A regular T-55 doesn't fit well and is likely to strip the bolt heads or break the socket. The long thin tensioner tool that is included doesn't seem to work as intended and is much too fragile and bends easily. Not really needed for this job anyway, The cam holding tools fit fine on the 3.5 Liter car engine but do not fit the 3.5 Liter Ecoboost truck engines, A different part number is required for those.

This tool truly lives up to its promises! It performs just as effectively as the more expensive, high-end options. Highly recommend!
