Excellent product. Arrived this afternoon and I put it to work. I cut 700’ of tall hedge. It took me ~ an hour without stopping. The battery still has a couple dots on it. The hedges are sano and I am happy with my purchase. I recommend it.

Greenworks makes a great product. Bought this one to replace my old ine that had hit the fence one too many times.

It works as intended. It is quite heavy as others have noted.

A great trimming tool albeit a little awkward to get used to. With the battery attached, the unit is relatively heavy for extended work. Still a very efficient hedge trimmer for my 6-7’ podycarpus. And since the unit has a 20v rechargeable battery, the charge last a long time compared to 10v.

Ordered this as a replacement for my previous Greenworks 24v model that worked like a charm for about eight years. The old unit was lightweight, balanced, and easily maneuverable. This new "updated" version is too long, incredibly off-balance, and heavy. As soon as I picked it up, I new I wasn't going to be able to use this for long stretches at a time. It is overly long with no way to retract or shorten the length, and the design forces you to grip and hold the unit from the far end of the pole; meanwhile the vast majority of the weight is on the opposite end, in the head/cutting unit. Imagine picking up a long swimming pool pole that has a 10 pound weight in the net, but you're picking it up by the very tail-end of the pole. Awkward, uncomfortable, and an instant strain on the back, neck, shoulder, and bicep. It is also worth noting that the actual product is different and significantly longer than the version pictured here on Amazon and on the Greenworks website. What you will get will be a much longer pole than the version in the photos. If it were 2 or 2 1/2 feet shorter, the balance might be a bit better, but this current version is a design fail. Returned. Very disappointing Greenworks.

If you have a taller evergreen to trim, this is a must have!

I was skeptical because I had never heard of the brand. I was pleasantly surprised. It works great and very sturdy. The rotating blade option makes trimming hedges easy.

Very, very heavy…for me at least. I’m 5’1”. Even though I consider myself to be a strong woman I don’t have a lot of upper body strength. My lower back already hurts and I just went around my property and tried it out on several areas, bushes, honey suckle growing up on a fence and a little tree. . I can’t tell if it’s top heavy. I can’t tell if it’s bottom heavy or if it’s just awkward all around! maybe if I keep using it I will get used to it and build up my arms and core but on its first use I’m already exhausted! It definitely cuts well, it’s not very loud and the two part safety trigger is very easy to Turn on and off. I don’t have any complaints about it performance, it’s just heavy for me personally.
