YES YES YES! These work so well, especially if you already have the in ceiling cans, I would also recommend upgrading with the newer flat ceiling lights as well. Although HUE is expensive as hell, you know they always work and work well!

I’m a huge Philips Hue fan. This is my second home I’ve converted to Philips hue bulbs. Dozens of lights in many rooms.Their LED lights seem to have this sweet, juicy look to them.An atmospheric density that colors the air. There is no feeling of any single point of light emission. Rather the room becomes the color.But beyond that, the reason I stay w/Phillips Hue is the app and tech. It’s rock solid. And what’s would come from a higher end technical company. Not some one off unknown company/developer that might not even be around in a year or two.Spend the xtra $. Go with Philips.

These are absolute garbage retrofit can lights, specifically the 4” model. I’m sure the internals of the Philips Hue lighting components are just as good as other Hue products, but as a retrofit can light, these are bad. In traditional retrofit kits, the feet or claws have a bit of springy push back on them, allowing you to press one foot to release it and provide some space on the opposing side to do the same. However, with the 4” retrofit lights, the feet are very rigid and bite into the can housing, making them very difficult to remove without causing some sort of damage to the light and more importantly to the surrounding drywall. Additionally, the baffle lip trim is very thin; if you have any sort of texturing on your walls, the baffle lips won’t lay flush.If you have architectural cutouts or areas where you need 4” recessed lighting, you’re better off buying a nice 4” baffle trim piece that suits your needs and screwing in a Philips Hue A19 bulb. Stay away from this 4” kit from Philips.

Satisfied with my purchase…product as described and easy to install, no issues. Also, my purchase arrived earlier by 1 business day than estimated delivery date—kudos and thanks! Replaced all 6 of my outside accent recessed lights on each bottom corner point of the roof effortlessly. The remaining recessed lights that I have, both indoor and outdoor, are the 5/6” size—so measure first before you order to ensure the correct size and quantity! Our entire house is outfitted with some form of Phillips Hue lights and couldn’t be happier with their products, even if they are a tad pricey.

Installation was a challenge coz these would keep popping out over a period of time. The other issue is with detection - I installed 32 of these and only 23 of them have connected to my phone via Bluetooth and then transferred them over to the Hue bridge. The remaining 9 just refuse to connect/pair.
