Leading Charge Algorithm An advanced microprocessor controller is featured in this Summit Series battery charger. Precise Lester Electrical charging and termination algorithms prevent both undercharging and overcharging, optimizing both daily battery capacity and overall battery life. The battery charger also featues an intelligent storage mode to keep batteries fully charged when the vehicle / machine / equipment is not in use for an extended period of time. Sealed and High Reliability The heavy-duty aluminum enclosure is sealed with an IP66, NEMA 4 rating to protect the battery charger from water, dust, and other environmental elements. The battery charger uses natural convection cooling with no fans. It has also been designed to provide the high reliability that is expected of a Lester Electrical product with an MTBF reliability rating of greater than 150,000 hours. High Efficiency The battery charger features high AC-to-DC conversion efficiency of greater than 90 percent (peak), including all losses from AC plug to DC connector. The charger, when paired with batteries, exceeds the requirements of the California Energy Commission (CEC) Title 20 Appliance Efficiency Regulations for battery charger systems. It also features a high AC power factor near unity. Universal AC Input The battery charger features a universal AC input and operates at 90-264 Vac and 45-65 Hz for use anywhere in the world. The IEC AC inlet enables the battery charger to be paired with an AC cord with the appropriate localized plug. An AC cord with a standard North American plug (NEMA 5-15P) is included. Safety and Regulatory Approvals The battery charger is UL listed, cUL/CSA certified, and CE certified. It includes applicable FCC and EN approvals. The battery charger has also been certified compliant with the California Energy Commission (CEC) Title 20 Appliance Efficiency Regulations.
