E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial [DVD] [1982]

I was an 9 yo when I see ET in theater. It has been the history was marked my entire life and this edition in 4K UHD with DTS X make justice. Pristine picture and terrific sound makes me again feel like a chiild who believes in an intergalactic flyng fellow. Great movie and great edition to enjoy.

This is a classic movie that I paid for the grandkids to watch they had never seen it. I thought it was great and really enjoyed it, especially since Grandpa was watching it with them!

An all time classic so what else is there to say. The 4K adds a little pop to the picture but honestly I don’t see much difference between that and the regular Blu-ray so I’m not sure it’s worth spending the extra money (I purchased the 4K because it was on sale and actually cheaper so if that is the case, then by all means go for it…otherwise don’t waste the money.

I watched E.T. when it first came out in the movie theater. It scared me so bad I ended up on the floor near my chair. I remember it as if it was yesterday. I was 6 years old wow. It is still a beloved show. Today at our local theater they are showing it $0.25 tickets. I'm not sure if i want to replace that memory. It's an awesome video great quality.

This is one of my all time fav movies because it's just fun for everyone! A great story - and even better cast - Baby girl Drew Barrymore makes the movie! I would say there are a few 'scary' parts but in my opinion it's ok for the whole family. Special effects that are both amazing and funny. I always purchase my movies these days via stream. No DVD to store and you can watch them on most any device! Having said all of this, I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. I grew up with a copy of ET, but I never watched it a ton, although I certainly have always acknowledged it’s a classic film. So I finally decided to rewatch it again after all these years. It’s interesting to watch now, in the era of stranger things, because you really can’t see how much of an influence films like this hat on that series. as for the movie itself is still a great film, but for me, it’s always been a bit slow. The beginning of the film after the alien ship lands can drag on and even Henry Thomas is a little annoying at first. Luckily, like the other great 80s classic labyrinth. It does get better as it goes on and when it does he did try. This is truly a great science-fiction film. If you haven’t seen it definitely give it a shot. It has its flaws but it’s still a great time.
