I got a similar type of cotton pads a long time ago but do not remember where I bought them (back before my "Amazon shopping" days), and I cannot find them at any of my local stores. I have tried many nail wipes that claim to be lint free but I still had issues with fibers sticking in my nail polish. I've searched extensively and was pleased to have finally come across these cotton pads that are exactly the same as the ones I had bought in the past. The reason I like these cotton pads with a covering is that a regular cotton ball or pad leaves lint on my nails when removing polish or the sticky residue on gel polish. But the covering on these pads is a woven material that does not leave behind any lint whatsoever. Most cotton pads I have tried over the years, even if they state they are lint free, still leave lint behind. The covering on these pads prevent that from happening, but the soft thicker cotton pad inside is absorbent so they hold enough polish remover, alcohol, etc., to get the job done without the fear of lint. I use these primarily for soaking off gel polish because of the amount of product they are able to hold. Due to this, I would not use them with expensive serum because of the amount of product they are able to hold, and most of it would remain on the pad when applying it to my face. But this is not the primary reason I wanted them. These are so much better than regular cotton pads I can get at the dollar store and a little pricey but so worth the extra money. Now that I have rediscovered these, I will never go back.

I've been buying these cotton pads through DHC for years. They're consistent in quality, and very smooth and soft. Highly recommended.

I love these DHC silky cotton.. The reason I love them is because they are cotton squares & that is hard to find.. The square shape is great for cleansing my face & eyes, etc.. I use them with my micellar water every day & night & they work perfect....they are really absorbent & clean well.. I consider them pretty soft because the only other cotton I used was facial rounds from a store & those were decent. I'd rather use these because they are thicker & I only need to use one or possibly another when using makeup.. I have to say that I'm someone who doesn't really use alot of makeup - mostly natural look with just a little bit. The rounds I used to use were thin & would almost fall apart in my fingers.. With these squares they hold up well. The cotton squares are a bit over 1 inch each.. These are an excellent value! If anyone wants a facial cotton that isn't round but is square & more thick then think about trying these.. Never too late to find something new for you skin!

Love their QUALITY style cotton pads. I am a real stickler for cotton pads that I use on my eyes to remove makeup and to place toner on my face. I cannot stand cheap cotton or crappy level cotton pads. These are ample size to cover your whole face and neck. I use them with eye makeup remover and I use them with toner. They last during application and they are nice and thick. I go to other cotton pads occasionally but then circle back to Japanese cotton pads because they are superior. DHC is a Japanese based company which runs a division out of CA. Their products are good and I highly recommend them.

It is thick, soft and absorbent, and it is a good product. But 4 stars because it's not what I wanted. I ordered it because I needed it to apply toner, but it was too thick and too big to use for that, so I thought it was a waste. If you don't mind it, it's definitely a good product

I'm paranoid about skin micro-tears. This stuff is so smooth and works perfectly with my preferred micellar water. I've bought this item dozens of times.

These are The Best cotton pads in the universe. Excellent quality, no lint left stuck on your face or nails, soft, and absorbent. DHC makes wonderful products.

Really nice smooth cotton. No loose fibers to irritate eyes or nose. Very gentle on skin. I will buy these again, definitely recommended for cosmetic use or wound cleaning.

Soft and comfortable for removing make-up, does not shed fibres . Ideal for my sensitive skin.

Can't live without these!!! They are super soft,absorbent and don't fall apart.Just wish they were'nt so difficult to buy.
