I'm impressed, looks healthy!
I've made a number of batches myself using some collected scobys from store-bought bottles, but decided to give this a shot. I was impressed at the packaging and the safety seal included on each container, some work went into it. It's a nice-to-know that it had a batch number included on the container, too. Safety seals were both intact, so I fired up a batch right away.It was a healthy looking scoby (picture), and I've got my first of two batches that will be ready in just a few days. Scoby!
Recently bought Scoby from Scoby Joe to save some cash on my wife's Farmer's Market Kombucha habit. So far, my first batch has turned out great! I had a couple questions and pinged SJ and they were quick to respond and helpful. Highly recommend!

It works!
I intended on buying this as a gift for a friend living abroad, because she misses kombucha and she couldn't find any where she lived. Upon receiving the package, one of the scoby joe leaked and I contacted customer service. Scoby Joe's awesome customer service sent me a new one within a few days and made it in time for my flight. I placed the scoby joes in the check in luggage and arrived safely. I am happy to say that my friend has made a couple of batches successfully with Scoby Joe! She doesnt have a kombucha shortage anymore (:

Poor performance and Quality, Very Disappointed.
Very disappointed. I gave it an opportunity to see his performance and the brew was not as expected. The scoby is too old, super brown and super thick. Not good at all. Very thick scoby and poor quality and quantity of liquid starter. It arrived leaking through the package.

Not good Scoby. I’m a Southern California raised 2 generation and never have had kombucha scoby fail until now.I recently bought Scoby from another vendor and everything is fine.Not happy with this product at all.

Little dry
Scott was a little dry. I had to mix juice into it from another brand scoby that I bought.

Great looking scoby
The Scoby showed up on my doorstep in two days and is the best starter scoby I have ever seen. Can not wait to make some tea with this. Thanks Scoby Joe!
