Honest review of Coiled Lightning Cable, iPhone Charger Cable 3FT for Car, 2 Pack [Apple MFi Certified] 3 Feet Lightning Cord Compatible with iPhone14/13/12/11 Pro Max/XS MAX/XR/XS/X/8/7/Plus/6S iPad/iPod- Black @ $15.69 at time of order. The way that I had to mount my phone mount in my vehicle left me wanting a better charger cable than what I had on hand. The one I had was too long really, and I had it coiled up and, in the way, – way too bulky as well. This seemed to be a great solution. I felt that this was a good value getting 2 coiled cables at this price. They seem sturdy and work fine with my iPhone 14 Pro. I tested both of them. They stretch out long enough but aren’t in the way when not plugged in. They’re easy to store as well. There’s also a code to scan with your phone’s camera that takes you to a Facebook Messenger chat to request an upgraded 2-year warranty. I was fortunate that it did not affect me, but the only thing I did not like was that to use Apple CarPlay, it takes a little extra work in some cases as the instructions imply. This requires going into settings in your phone to get these cables to work in some cases. However, it worked just fine with the USB plug in my 2016 F150. In this case, it is an updated USB that I purchased from Ford because 2017 is when they started making USB plugins compatible with CarPlay, so I don’t know if this had anything to do with it or not. My other vehicle is older and has no USB outlets at all. In it, I had to use a USB cigarette lighter plug and it worked just fine with that too. Hopefully this helps someone decide on this product. 5 stars.

I use my phone in my car all the time. Having a curly cord means that I can have a longer cord in a much shorter space. It’s out of the way, and I don’t accidentally suck it up with the vacuum cleaner when I’m washing my car. So this is the car cord, I have a spare, and I don’t care what kind of cord it is it’ll probably last me 6 to 8 months and then I’ll use the second one. For me, the thing they always talk about with cord breakage is that the head of the cord is bent so often that it disconnects from the charger part. I’ve owned it iPhone for about 10 or 12 years, that has never happened to me. What always happens to me is After so many times of putting it in and taking it out, it’s like the actual charger part doesn’t engage with the phone anymore. Like it’s worn thin. And then almost always happens between six and eight months. I can’t imagine why this would be different.

Aside from the normal Amazon delivery issues the product itself is awesome. It’s pre cut to size and is very good quality. Took less than a hour to install. Be sure to use a heat gun to make sure it sticks correctly. Definitely recommend. Made installation so much easier.

I needed an Apple "certified" cable that is approx. one foot in length to connect my I-phone to a motorcycle app that has Apple Carplay on it. It says I need an Apple supplied cable. So...I did what most people do...search for an Apple certified cable, since the one that came with the phone is too long. Found this cable that is "Apple certified". Wrong. This cable does everything a lightning cable will do...except Carplay. Will not work. As soon as I replaced this cable with the three foot long cable that came with my I-phone, Carplay immediately worked. Remove the cable and replace with this one...nothing. Replaced with another non-Apple supplied lightning cable...nothing. Again, back to the Apple three foot lightning cable...it worked. I assume there is a data connection in the Apple cable that they do not allow other manufacturers to have. Other than this issue - this cable is excellent, the coil keeps things tidy, and it charges the phone perfectly. I removed one star only due to the Carplay issue.

It is a great product

Works nicely as expected. The coiled cord is great because it does not get all tangled up. Let's face it, who needs a long cord in the car to charge the phone? It's never really out of reach.

I’ll just say you get what you pay for lol. It’s definitely affordable, but it won’t last long. I bought mine at the start of October, here we are mid February and the first one I’ve used of this two pack already started having issues. I bought it because I liked the coil design since my last car charger would get all tangled, and that part has been nice. Recently though, unless I have my phone resting at exactly the right spot and right angle in the car, the connection to CarPlay keeps shutting off and it will stop charging. Even if I move my phone even a little or if I hit a bump while driving that shifts my phone a little, it shuts off connection. The quality just isn’t great, and is frustrating to work with. I’ve had cheap chargers before, but they’ve all lasted me at least a year or so, this is the quickest a charger of mine has stopped working. I’m moving on to my 2nd one of this two pack now, hopefully it lasts more than four months.
