It's Amazing for the first few weeks. Now its worthless. Look elsewhere .
I had really high hopes for this. Got it as a Christmas gift and at first it was amazing. With so many to choice from I thought I picked the perfect one. I did paid a little over one hundred dollars and thought it was worth it but after four weeks the green light started to go out after ten minutes and now the green like doesn't work at all. The last day for returns or exchanges was January 31st and I found out yesterday, February 1st that it no longer worked properly. Since it was a Christmas gift it was hard to keep track of its daily functions but you'd think after a few weeks there shouldn't be any problems. So with my experience I had its impossible to recommend this product to any one. Now I'm looking for another replacement here on Amazon for half the price but more reliable. Its really too bad because it was kind of cool.

Excellent
I work in a facility/home for folks with intellectual disabilities and we had this as a sensory item. It worked very very well. When I was setting up a nursery at home, I decided I needed one of these and I bought it in 2019. It is now part of my daughters night time routine that we sit in her room and watch the lights. One interesting thing on this one that is different that other projectors that I see is that the "stars" all move different directions and different speeds. Other projectors often create a "sky" and all the stars move the same direction. The stars from this projector are green and the optional Nebula light has the option of blue and blue.... but it is dimmable. I have another projector that there are different options for the colors and changing colors of the nebula light. it is wall mountable which my other projector is not. We have used into almost every night for a little over a year and it still works great. An older model of this that is at my work did get to a point that the motor was really loud but it 5-6 years old and got heavy usage. Will this change your life? NoWill this bring about world peace? No.If you are looking for a good projector to create a relaxing atmosphere, this will do that.If you are looking for exciting light effects to complete your dance room or rave? might not fit the billIf you are looking for astronomically accurate star patterns for your celling to work on that astronomy class or club you might be in, sorry, this isn't that.

Still amazing
Recieved my universe of stars via mail today and was stoked too pull that bad boy outa the wrappings only too hear something inside that sounded like a little something broken like maybe a little piece of hard plastic inside and now that I think on it the box itself had a few dings anyway I loathe the idea of returning process at the post office avoid it if at all possible so I plugged it in and works okay somehow it just doesn't seem more amazing than my older model I used too have guess when I saw 2019 it wowed me a little was expecting something with all the bells n whistles but ya no real fireworks as far as visual upgrade changes word of advice stars are green pretty and move around but do not expect too see millions of them like the box portrays unless you put the lazor very close up too the ceiling or wall then more on spot but just expect an 8x10 showing instead of a room of endless stars and dunno how this could ever be a night light situation because it does have a bit of an annoying rotating motor sound not huge but it would deffinately get on my nerves if trying too sleep no difference than my older model would be amazing in a home theater situation tho or paired with music the cloud effect is a bit different from my old model it kinda looks as tho it has a straight edge in the cloud effect off too one side not too bad tho inside the unit behind the lazor glass that makes the cloud effect it looks like crumpled up plastic makes the effect so maybe just the crumpling shape I still love it and it still entertains my space loving spirit would have baught an older model like I used too own and been just as happy in fact my older model seemed too be built better overall its still an amazing chill out tool

NOT CHEESY! Love to Relax watching the star in my home theater
I saw this numerous times and thought it was cheesy - I am part of a Facebook group of home theater enthusiasts and I am finishing up a major home movie theater. I looked at the fiber optic panels for the ceiling whcih average about $800 for a 4'x8' section (depending on the brand, type, etc). I wasnt a fan of the units housing, I wanted to subtle look for the unit that I could hide in the room and project to the ceiling, I was surprised when I opened it, its not as bad as I thought. The stars are green and there is a blue "nebula" that also projects - together they look awesome. The entire "galaxy" slowly moves aorund the ceiling rotating like the earth is moving. This particular unit was a littl emore epxensive than some of the similar model because it was the updated 2018 version that has a 2 hour timer that automatically shuts off both the starts and the blue nebula after 2 hours.

Works for a time
So overall lazer stars work fine. Was cool to see. Unfortunately after 4 days the green lazer that projects stars stopped working. But we can still use the multi color cloud. The blu tooth speaker is not worth using. Sound quality is poor.I would return but the box was tossed out already.I prefer the original version that we had back 2012. Those older versions lasted for so long.
