Life changing for anyone with muscle pain!
I first bought it to help maintain my cervical spine subluxations alignments from my chiropractor. It helped me go from every other day appointments counting the seconds to my next appointment to I am now at every 3 weeks thanks to this amazing tool almost pain free! It helped myofascial release my neck to allow my body to stop pulling my spine out of place due to the pressure. This tool alone for the neck was worth it and saved me hundreds of dollars from the chiropractor and massages. But it got even better when I misplaced it even lower onto my back and realized it is not a one body part tool! I've used it to release my TMJ in my face, my dad's drooping eye lid, my neck, shoulders, abdomen, back, thighs, my feet, trigger points, my gluteous maximus (my butt)... etc etc. I am a 5"3 female, the wide was a bit too wide, but I still had great results and recommend it for all shapes and sizes! This has been a life saver! It can be a little sensitive to high inflamed areas, just reduce the pressure until you feel the release and continue adding weight/pressure and you will feel the relief as soon as it removes the trigger points. If it's too much use a pillow/thick blanket on top of it or while laying in bed for comfort or use a small squishy ball (like a yoga small ball). It is very sturdy which makes it so amazing to release the tension, but the caps pop off with use and have had to glue them back on few times now. But still no regrets buying this. And even if you don't have chronic pain, it helps with any ache or pain! A must have product

Quality you can feel!
This massager is small and sturdy! I use the WIDE position for my neck and position the ends (feel like fingers) at my pressure points and apply pressure using my head - just like masseuses would use their fingers. The more I use it the easier to position it on my pressure points and het relief after a few minutes and medium pressure is applied. This unit is manual, it is possible for someone else to use it on your neck or back! It is small enough to fit in any carrying bag/case for travel. it is simple to use as well!

Sturdy
This review is for the Deep Tissue Neck Massager which I was super excited to try to relieve my neck tension. While the tool itself is very sturdy and well built, I had a difficult time making it work for me. Just resting with my head laying back on the tool was uncomfortable, but when I used my hands to lift my head and sort of move it around, I could tell it provided some relief. The pressure this device is able to put on your neck just due to the weight of your head in incredible, so I can see how it could provide a lot of deep tissue relief if you know how to manipulate your head around it. However if you don't, the relaxation it provides might be more elusive, which was the case for me.

I'm extremely skeptical
I have several neck and spine injuries from a car accident years ago and get lots of tension sometimes leading to migraines. I am always on the lookout for something the help ease this and discovered neck traction devices. In spite of this costing twice most similar devices I chose this one because it at least appeared to be chiropractic approved - but I am skeptical even of this. Keeping an eye on the price of this product, it's "full price" is constantly manipulated to make this appear to on sale at any given time. While a bit shady its not an uncommon way to sell products so I decided to try it anyway because I don't need to agree with a sales approach for it to still be a good product. Upon arrival - It smelled HEAVILY of cigarette smoke. Mostly the product packaging but the product too. The directions included have several lines of broken English and poorly spelled words. In several areas it would address potential problems with the product pushing blame onto the customers. "Some people think our products hurt them but they just aren't giving us a chance" "some people think there are defects with the product but there aren't any moving parts so it's impossible " "This is product is not too small for women. We have thousands of users who are women, just use the smaller side" Everything about it screams unprofessional and I am skeptical a chiropractic doctor from the United States designed this (it was made in China). I do not think that the product is designed to hurt you in any way, but I also know people will put lots of money and faith into trying to find relief from pain and there are those that would use that to their advantage. In spite of this I tried using it as recommended for beginners and didn't notice much other than a cool sensation on the top of my skull. After several attempts where I closely followed the directions I wasn't able to notice any differences. I spoke with my chiropractor and they explained that while cervical traction is a very real treatment it is often done with the guidance of a physical therapist or chiropractor. Based on the lack of result and their advice I returned this product.

expensive but worth every penny
I typically just rate items, however this... "device" is a really great chunk of plastic. I was in an accident in early 2019 and was regularly getting chiropractic and massage sessions to loosen the knots in my back, shoulders and neck as well as cortisone injections up until covid19 reached my neck of the woods in March of 2020. Since then I have purchased and have been using a wide array of products ranging from office-chair shiatsu pads, the stand alone neck massage (shoe box sized device), 2 different battery operated massage units, the thorax device (4 pair of roller blade wheels), yoga rollers (hard pool noodle rollers), a couple different plastic units that really just assist with stretching, 2 different TENS devices (1 was from about 10 years ago, I thought maybe it needed replaced, new one operates the same as old) as well as the neck over the door neck hammock traction contraption. While all of these other products have helped a little (some more than others) I keep coming back to this... "thing" (y'all really need to come up with a unique name!) First off it feels like sturdy or durable product, as I have used each of the 3 different sides (widths) to pin point an exact spot of tension, there is no give or flex in this device... while it is some sort of plastic, it is definitely a dense plastic and no matter which of the 3 sides you are using it is "strong" plastic (sounds/reads ridiculous, I know). I found that I can use this on my neck as well as slowly working up and down my shoulder blades, I can pinpoint the knots across my shoulder blade, applying sustained pressure in an exact spot helps to loosen the knot. None of other products in my pile have been able to reach those spots with consistency. I sometimes get cramps in the arch of my foot, last night instead of using the rolling ball with spikes that I have used for years, I tried this (insert unique fancy name that y'all really should decide on) and was able to release the cramp in a fraction of the normal time. While the price point is high considering it is "just" molded plastic, if I would lose this one or my dog decided to chew it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. I wish this would have popped up in the "other items" list sooner. -edit on 10/24 (I should have spellchecked myself better)

Helps release trigger points, ease tension
I was skeptical. However! Best tool I have used for relieving trigger points, muscle tension/stress, and occipital neuralgia. Seller responded to my inquiry regarding which size to purchase within 12h. Very sturdy, good dimensions. Unlike surface massagers, this gets the trigger points to release, easing tension. It does not tip over if you use it correctly, on a flat/firm surface and move the tool with your hand, don't move your body while laying on it. Basic physics. To the people who said they used it one time and it hurt - consider how long that tension has been building up, can't expect a miracle fixed. Your muscles may feel a bit sore after use; they've been tense for so long, stretching the muscles will result in mild soreness until they become used to being relaxed again. At the very least, if you decide to return this product - at least be honest if it is not defective. They'll still allow you to return it. The people claiming severe discomfort/pain after one use, almost guaranteed did not use as instructed - or have a serious medical issue which should be reviewed by a doctor immediately.

Be cautious if you have an injury
First of all, this device indicates that it was created by a chiropractor. Assuming that somebody medical created this device you would think that they would have much better instructions included as to how to use the device. the description is extremely poor and should include a video link somewhere in their advertisement, They definitely cut corners trying to save money in that respect. This device could be helpful for someone that simply has tight muscles and aren’t on the smaller/fragile side. I do see how this could actually cause injury if used improperly so be cautious. Does it work? Moderately. If you can actually get it to be right on the point that is painful then yes it does relieve some tension , but the way it is created sometimes it’s difficult to get it to stay in the right spot. As far as “distraction” goes, that’s not part of how this works. I purchased this to see if there was a distraction component as that was what I was looking for and it does not do that. It does apply pressure to pressure points but does not distract. So it can be helpful, if you have no previous medical injury you could try, but only with significant CAUTION. But being a medical professional myself I do not recommend this for somebody that has actually had an accident or other medical procedure. Be safe people.
