Kids' Cycling Handbook: Tips, Facts and Know-How About Road, Track, BMX and Mountain Biking

My kiddo loves this book! He's 7 and totally interested in cycling but not sure what kind so I was searching for a book that would teach him about different types of bikes, equipment, terrain, etc and this is it! He reads it all the time and it leads to further investigation (which is great for us as homeschoolers) where he looks up the equipment and finds videos of people using them so he can find out if he's more interested in one or the other. From a mom perspective, it's very kid friendly and has eye-catching colors so it holds their interest really well. Cover is not quite a hardback, not quite what I would consider soft either, but be aware that the book can bend. Comes with stickers as well. All around I would definitely recommend!

This is an excellent book for beginning riders. My grandson, a novice but enthusiastic cyclist, almost got hit by a motorist because he had no cycling experience and wasn't aware of what side of the road he needed to be on or how to behave among other cyclists. This book covers all of that and more. It explains rules of the road and offers practical advice for riding gear, and bike extras.

While the book itself is okay, the price for what you get is a disgrace.........40 pages. The seller really ought to be ashamed.

I found a few errors in it, fun for reading with kids

Though its format suggests a younger reader than I expected, the information contained in the book is solid and applicable to older cycling fans (ages 8-10) as well as younger ones.

I bought this for my 11 yr old daughter as she was going to start cycling to school , got bored with it in minutes as too simple . Probably more aimed for the 7-10 range

Excellent - the kids love it! Some clear, easy to read advice and tips.
