Jetsons, The: The Complete First Season (Rpkgd/DVD) Meet George Jetson and his quirky family: wife Jane, son Elroy and daughter Judy. Living in the automated, push-button world of the future hasn't made life any easier for the harried husband and father, who gets into one comical misadventure after another! Review: good buy - good product Review: A classic- great quality! - I absolutely love this purchase- it brings me back to my childhood and I especially love watching it before bed and relaxing! As I’m sure many have said, the main screen is simple and still (just the dvd cover, black background, and episode names), as I’m sure was necessary to fit so many episodes on a disk. This is similar to both the Hanna-Barbera collection disks to S1 of The Flintstones and the Complete Series of the Yogi Bear Show that I also own. Each of the 3 discs have a monochromatic color design with one character- just as another side note. Many throwbacks (or are we looking to the future..?) and sure to make you smile- you won’t regret it!

Outstanding cartoon...
Ok...so I'm one of those people that grew up watching the Jetsons...I totally expected to be using a 'Jetson mobile' at this point in my life, and am EXTREMELY disappointed that technology hasn't kept up. That being said, this cartoon is absolutely remarkable....sooooo forward thinking - it's 60+ years old - and we still don't have a majority of the cool things on this cartoon. I got it for my 5 and 6 year old grand kids, and they actually love it ...but I will sit down and watch it as well. The graphics are excellent - and it's exactly as I remembered it. Now THIS is TV I will watch!!

A nice addition to my collection of childhood favorite shows
I enjoyed the Jetsons as a child. As an adult, I still enjoy it. I wanted to share the experience with my grandkids. Found and bought the complete 3 season series, and the 2 movies featuring The Jetsons (+the Flintstones in one of them). I also bought the Flintstones series too, to add two my collection of old time favorites. It has been fun watching these shows again on those rainy days we had while RV camping this summer, this week.

Very happy but . . .
On some discs, subtitles come up and it is impossible to get rid of them.

The Flintstones in Tomorrow Land
This is a cartoon guess of what live would be like in the 21 century. You watch the Jetsons as they have the little problems of life in the 21st century. George Jetson is always in trouble with his boss Mr. Spacely. The different episodes include 'Hiring a Robot Maid', 'Taking his son's scout troupe to Mars' to mention a few. Very imaginative and well worth watching.

Great DVD disc
The Jetsons are always a good cartoon. The disc came well clean and brand new and sealed in the package as should be. A very well done delivery

a classic
The series was created in 1962. Some technology predicted back then has come true, other tech has not yet been realized. The writers back then were incapable of imagining any changes in the social domain: the bosses are men, the secretaries are women, and most women stay home to take care of the kids.
