Pro: Chipped beef breakfast! 14 grandchildren and no complaints - most trying it for the first time. Excellent value, tasted as expected, and one jar makes a lot of chipped beef for biscuits. We used 3 jars for our large crowd. Perfect size, taste and texture for the wife and I, having a little extra leftover - sorta (it’s yummy). Con: None. Grandkids have asked for it by name now many many times.

If you're buying this you know proper way to use it, and for what dishes it can be used. If yoou by chance are hoping for beef jerky, this is mnot at all what you want. Not a great price, but fair value for the size ordered.

The genuine article! I've been eating this for as long as I remember. It's a must have for creamed chipped beef (SOS). It is salty, so if you soak it in warm water for 10-15 minutes before using, it's generally more palatable.

Really how much this costs now that one company discontinued it. My mom and I love this for CHip Beef on Toast. Always so delicious! Hope they don't stop making!

I love it

I saw this at Walmart and decided to check Amazon. Chose to go with Amazon even with the long delivery time. I ordered and received 3 bottles, but one was broken and full of glass. Had to throw it away. That hurt considering the price. HOWEVER, I WILL say that I have never seen jars this big (4.5 oz). Even back in the day the jars were small (2.25 oz which is HALF the size of any other ones on Amazon.) I haven't made this yet since we've gone back to the Keto lifestyle. I know I'll make it one day because when I mentioned it to my daughter, she said, "I like chipped beef." Of course my Mother's ear heard she wants some, too. She didn't know you could make it: she always buys it! I feel another customer in the making! (Guess she was too young to remember the few times I made it when she was younger.) However, when I made it in the past, I used Armor Dried Beef, and that's the only brand I think I'll ever buy. It's good! Maybe a little salty for us these days, but making it once in a decade or two probably won't be enough to aggravate our health. Will try it soon, but it doesn't have a seal broken on any jars, and it hasn't expired so I know it will be tasty. You should give it a try. Just make a Bechamel sauce, cut the beef in strips or ribbons, stir it into the sauce a few minutes to warm, and ENJOY (over toast)! Stars dropped from delivery time and condition on arrival.
