Router
Great for small business

works like a charm, it also came with a UK plug
Good product, no regrets, best router (although sadly I'm underusing it as I don't have PoE APs )

The best routers!
This is a terrific router for our new fibre internet. My old router (another Mikrotik but years old) couldn't quite handle gigabit internet; this one laughs at it. Yes, I got a free Hub 2 with the connection but this Mikrotik is vastly more functional. It runs four VLANs here (VOIP, Smart devices, Wifi and wired LAN) and extensive firewalling and QoS (queue) rules; all at full wire speed. The PoE is useful too, even though I have a 28 port PoE switch too. My VOIP base, modem and WiFi APs are directly connected to the Router using the PoE. My UPS shuts down the big Cisco switch (with IP PoE cameras and other stuff) and my NASs after a short time without power to conserve battery life, but leaves the Mikrotik router on so I still get internet and telephony for a long time. Perfect setup! It's expensive, but for what you get is fantastic value for money. It's a high-level, professional grade router at a fraction of the cost of the 'bigger' name brands and with as much, if not more, functionality.

Robust and Good Performer
It is a rock solid router for those who needs consistent/reliable connections and flexibility. Unfortunately the user interface is not for everyone. You need to know what are you looking for and what are you doing. It is more likely a professional equipment rather than a standard home user. Doesn't have wireless of course. All the RJ 45 ports are POE+ in or out it can be configurable. And no you can not chose different poe profiles for different ports. The standard you choose will apply all the ports. So you need to do your planning before you purchase or add to the system.

Overall the product is absolutely fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a 8 port homelab router.

I've always been a fan of the brand, but this model is a true masterpiece. Powerful, compact, with PoE for all ports. The metal case dissipates heat well. I was planning on buying a small 19-inch cabinet for my country house to place the router along with the provider's ONT modem, power supply, PoE injectors. But this model, thanks to its size and case, can be conveniently installed in a built-in low-current panel in the wall along with the modem, and the power supply. Thanks to the presence of PoE-Out on all ports, PoE injectors are not longer needed. There are enough ports for a large house to connect a couple of Wi-Fi access points, several video cameras, and a smart home relay for controlling pumps, etc.

The MikroTik RB5009UPr+S+in is one of those compact metal rectangles that punches so far above its weight class you start wondering what kind of caffeine regimen the MikroTik engineers are on. With seven Gigabit ports, a 2.5G uplink, and a 10G SFP+ cage, it behaves like a full-grown edge router that somehow got compressed in a hydraulic press. For home labs, small offices, and edge deployments, it brings an almost smug level of versatility—routing, switching, and PoE-out—all while staying cool, quiet, and generally unbothered by whatever weird network creatures you plug into it. But here’s the part people gloss over: the PoE-out voltage is exactly whatever you feed into the DC jack. No auto-detect magic, no negotiation guardrails, no nanny-state protections. If you size your wall wart wrong—wrong voltage, wrong amperage—you can starve devices, brown them out, or send them to an early grave. This is a feature for people who read datasheets on purpose. Treated properly, it becomes a brilliant little micro-core, powering APs, cameras, and low-draw gear with zero drama. Treated casually, it becomes a very educational experience in how electricity works. RouterOS, of course, is the final boss. If all you want is a base configuration—WAN, LAN, basic firewall—it’s straightforward and cooperative. But the moment you want more (advanced routing, VPN profiles, proper VLAN segmentation, wire-speed switching tricks) you will rapidly discover that RouterOS speaks its own dialect of network engineering. It’s powerful, elegant, and unapologetically deep. The RB5009UPr+S+in rewards people who enjoy that depth, and punishes those who wander in without a plan. It’s not hostile; it just assumes you came prepared. ⸻ Pros • Shockingly capable for its size; great port mix (7x GbE, 1x 2.5G, 1x SFP+) • Runs cool, stable, and quiet even in cramped installations • PoE-out is fantastic if you size your power input correctly • RouterOS is extremely powerful and flexible • Excellent performance per watt and per dollar Cons • PoE-out voltage directly follows input voltage—mistakes get expensive • RouterOS has a steep learning curve beyond basic configs • CPU can bottleneck under heavy VPN or advanced firewalling • Not a replacement for a full PoE switch in larger deployments • Very easy to accidentally build a “science project” instead of a clean config

I ordered this and an AP as well. I got an delivery time for the whole package. First of all: It was delivered 2 days before the first date. Good!, very good! Second: The produkts was well packed in paper and very heavy cardboard. No risk for damaged! Very good! The router and AP come with perpetul license (Router os 7 level 5) All the needed parts was included as expekted. I am very satisfied with both the seller and the transport company (UPS) I will both recommend and buy here again
