G4 LED Bulb 1.5Watt led 20W Halogen Replacement 12V AC/DC 2700K Warm White Dimmable 5Pack

I bought 15x of these to use in a fixture that can handle 160W, controlled by a Lutron dimmer. When I put in 15x, power consumption was 42W (15x LED + 1x halogen). I was able to dim the fixture, but the transformer was buzzy and it flickered when dimmed to 80% (although it was stable between 70%-30%). Total brightness was a bit lower than with the original halogen bulbs so I put back 2x halogen. With 3x halogen + 13x LED, power consumption is now 80W. The transformer is quieter and I am able to dim from 100% to 20% before it starts flickering. Works for me - I only need 100% to 50% anyway. So these bulbs are dimmable, but there is interplay between the transformer and the dimmer. You might not be able to swap out all the halogen bulbs for LED without changing other components in the system.

Took a bit of burn-in, but ultimately worked OK. Initially the colors and brightness of the lights appeared slightly different, but evened out over a week or so of usage. My main disappointment was that I bought these as dimmable, because my range hood has a "full" and a "night light" setting and I used the night light a lot with LEDs. I don't really see much difference between the two with the LEDs. That said, the light is warm white (which I prefer) and dependable thus far.

when compared to other landscape bulbs i see less ‘warmth’ so I have my doubts that it’s 2700k

They worked great right out of the box. These were used in undercabinet puck lights to replace halogen. Not as bright as I would have hoped. No need for a dimmer or dimmable lamps. I removed the dimmer and replaced it with a standard switch. Dimmer really would serve no purpose. Color is warm but pleasant. Not really work light but more for ambiance. If I ever need to order them again I will order a higher wattage. No flickering.Update: After having these lamps in for a couple of days they suddenly developed a flicker. This flicker occured in all of the lamps and while not serious did detract from the look of the light. I have since returned them and will look for something else.

Very nice LED lamp. Excellent brightness and can be switched easily with a mosfet on arduino projects. will definitely buy more.

Pay careful attention to length. These are about 1 mm longer than the US specification. Lens on light fixtures would not go back on.

This additional review is for the 4 watt version purchase. Amazon lumps both purchases as one review for some reason...The 4 watt bulbs flicker, very noticeably. Plus, they are not very bright (for 40 watt equivalents) and color is not as warm as halogens, there is a slight greenish hue. These were replacing under kitchen cabinet lighting halogens. All of these LEDs flicker on either the brightest or the low light switch setting. Horrible.This was a separate purchase on the 1.5 watt (Dim):It says '20 watt' but mine were for a vent hood and these seem to have the brightness divided up and down, so next to the original 20 watt halogen (facing down) the LEDs are dimmer. If I knew this from the beginning I would have ordered the 30 watt equivalent version which would have probably come closer to the 20 watt halogens they replaced. The color temperature was spot on.
