What is the difference between this 1” face mill and your other 1” face mill (0046-0915). One better for steel than the other?

Thanks for the reply from Dan. they both work fine while cutting steel. while this model 0028-6903 installed the carbide inserts 2 ps APKT1604 which is better than the other model 0046-0915 which install the TPG carbide inserts. you can find both 0028-6903 and 0046-0915 on amazon.com for immediate shipment. Can i deck stock smaller than 2.5' in width, in other words, will an interrupted cut break carbide?

I have face milled much smaller stock just don’t go crazy on depth of cut I normally take 40 thousands for a rough cut and 6 to 10 for a finish cut. I have never broken a insert .

Is this made in China?

Not sure do not remember what was on packaging

What is the thread pitch for the draw bar? My machine is 7/16"-20

It is R-8 taper with 7/16"-20 thread for standard drawbar.
