Perfect replacement. It lasted over 5 years. Bright and white light.
Perfect, fast, and replacement for my burned out lamp. Just installed it a couple a days ago, so I will update my review with the lamp longevity later on.Update: 7/2019Almost 2 years later, this lamp is still going and works perfectly. I would definitely buy this exact lamp again.Update: 11/2022It finally burned out after 5+ years. I left it on 24/7. Time to order another one.

I works
This is a hard to find type of light bulb. Lowes and Home Depot don't carry it. This one worked great, the diameter of the tubes are a little smaller than the one I took out but it still fit fine after adjusting the clips on the light fixture itself. Its only been a few days since install so I cant give a long term review but so far its working fine.

I never knew bulbs like these existed until the dining room light fixture went out in a home I recently moved into. I originally looked on amazon but was deterred because of the reviews of the bulb not fitting. After an unsuccessful run at every local hardware store, I came back to Amazon and decided to test my luck. I listed the numerical/alphabet sequences above that was listed on the original bulb. Fits perfect and much brighter

Good replacement bulb.
I purchased this bulb as a replacement for the Viva brand 55w t6 double circline bulb that came in a Hampton Bay ceiling fixture (Home Depot store brand) that I bought a dozen years ago. The Viva bulb has apparently been discontinued, and Home Depot does not carry a replacement. The Satco S6596 is a good replacement bulb, however. It is slightly larger in diameter, both inside and outside, than the Viva, but it still fits in the bulb clips. In fact, the fit is a little better (just firm enough, rather than really tight) than with the original. The pin base is in a slightly different position: it is oriented vertically rather than angled, and rotated 90 degrees compared to the Viva bulb. Fortunately, there was enough slack in the power connector wire that there was no problem plugging it in to the bulb. The bulb is quite bright, noticeably brighter than the old bulb, in fact (but that may just be because the original bulb had gradually dimmed over the years). If this one lasts another 12 years, I'll be happy. The only problem I had was with Amazon's delivery service. The first bulb I ordered, unbelievably, came in a delivery carton about five times as large as the bulb itself, and with absolutely no packing material of any kind. Not surprisingly, the bulb arrived broken. I could hear the broken glass rattling around inside the delivery carton as soon as I picked it up. My wife shot video of me opening the undamaged delivery carton, exposing the complete lack of packing material, just the broken bulb inside. Fortunately, I have not needed that video, because Amazon immediately processed the return and refund. I re-ordered, and was glad to find that the second bulb came appropriately wrapped in bubble wrap, inside a sealed and padded plastic envelope, inside a shipping carton. So my only complaint is that it took a week to get an intact bulb, rather than the two days that my Prime membership promises.

The Most Expensive Bulb In My Home
When I remodeled my house, I changed out the light fixtures. Unfortunately, one of the fixtures I chose takes this type of bulb. It's a beautiful fixture, but I have had a terrible time finding this bulb. (Do you even call a light like this a "bulb"?) There are several that look the same, but the pins are the problem. There are a couple of pin configurations - so definitely pay attention to that. This gives off a nice, bright light. Purchasing this bulb taught me a lesson...when I need an unfamiliar bulb, I just put the code (printed on the bulb) into Amazon or Google or whatever, and search for the code. Doing that finally led me to the correct light. Maybe I'm the only one who never knew that, but I'm adding the info to my review in case it can help someone else.I was unable to locate this particular style at any of the big box stores around my house - and I live in a pretty large metropolitan area. Thankfully Amazon has it - and at a better price than the only other online store I was able to find this model at. The bulb itself lights up quickly (no delay), gives off a beautiful color (3000K), and lasts a long time. With heavy use, the bulb I bought lasted over a year. Oh - and the shipping was quick.

Replacement Bulb For A CFL 55W Circline
The bulb is a CFL 55W and rated 3000k so it's just a little bit brighter and is has a whiter light. The male connector from the bulb to the ballast on the replacement bulb is positioned differently compared to the old bulb. The old bulb male connector was slightly angled away from the bulb while the new bulb connection is set perpendicular in the middle of the bulb. I had enough wiring from the ballast and was able to make it work with my fixture. I'm not sure about longevity but would expect the item to last a couple of years. I am very satisfied with my purchase and would buy this item again.

A bulb that fits my fixture
The bulb works fine. It fits the odd fixture. It arrived promptly. The quality appears to be good. Can't speak to the longevity.
