Nimble - The One Finger Safety Cutter

Saw this in a YouTube video and had to try it out. Works great for opening sealing tape on all the Amazon boxes we are getting now that we mostly shop from home during the pandemic. Also works great in opening items that are encased in hard plastic sheet and/or on cardboard backing with plastic sheet fronts. Cuts right through the plastic around the edges to make product removal easy. No more having to use scissors to trim off edges. Follow instructions as to how to use it on what. DO NOT use on vacuum sealed objects as it will scratch finish while cutting through the plastic.

Doesn't work, period.

Right off the bat I'm going to say the reason for 4 stars vs 5 stars. The demo showing this safety cutter on the forefinger likely is that of a man. As a woman, I had to keep changing fingers until I found the right fit. It wasn't perfect, but turns out my middle finger was the best fit. The really good thing is it does just what it says it will do. You would have to work pretty hard to cut yourself as the part you use to cut with is not a blade but a smooth surface of a kind of hard plastic with the very tip of the cutting end is tapered to a point and that is what does the cutting. It zips right through packing tape but as the description states, don't try it on the cardboard your package came in. I can hardly wait to try it on those dang clamshell packages.

I have arthritis and this is easier than getting scissors out or a box knife.

Not what I thought it was and definitely not worth the price... asking way to much for something so small

Great little gadget for quick use. Cuts like a knife or razor blade but safe on human skin.

It didn't work! It needed a much more prominent "blade". It's a great idea that was not well executed.
