An excellent place to start learning Ukrainian you must know the alphabet if you don’t know the specific sounds of each individual letter you’re gonna be confused the entire time you try to learn this Slavic difficult language. I found this book to be one of the best places to start if you have no other sources such as local college classes or communities to work with if you’re just out there on your own and trying to learn this language because you love the people culture and country this is probably the best place to start I highly recommend this book

This is a fantastic tracing workbook for learning the Ukrainian alphabet. It's easy to use and perfect for beginners who want to practice handwriting while learning the letters. Highly recommended for anyone starting out!

I got it for learning how to write a new alphabet for a new language. That’s how I learned to write in English so I expect it to work for Ukrainian :-)

привіт! I got this book because I am currently studying Ukrainian, and struggling to write letters such as ж, б, д, and ю properly. This book has been a great help with that, and I've gotten far better at writing each letter. As I've gone through the book, I've noticed that the descriptions of some of the letters aren't necessarily accurate, and might cause confusion for those who are using this book to learn the alphabet as well.

The cover of this book is very misleading as it shows what I would call a traditional manuscript print of the Ukrainian alphabet. Once I opened it I was so disappointed in how the letters were show. It reminded me a bit of the old Comic Sans font of years ago for our own alphabet. It appears to be a very relaxed form of writing the letters which is not the way I learned to write these letters. I wanted to have my granddaughter use this. This is not an appropriate book for learning the correct writing of the alphabet. I made my own book for her to use instead. I did keep it as a reference so that she could see that letters in any language may appear to be different from the accustomed style but still could be used to represent the same various sounds. I was not pleased with this purchase. It was packaged well and arrived in a timely manner.

I got this book to refresh myself on my alphabet and immediately noticed on the first page that Couple of the letters are incorrect in the pronunciation and transliteration. In the book it claims that "и" transliteration is like "y" but pronunciation claims as "I" as in "milk". In actuality it's actually like "ee" in "bee". The other letter is "і" with transliteration of "k" and pronunciation is "s" like in "see". It's absolutely not. Its transliteration is more like "ih" with pronunciation of "I" as in "milk".

I found two obvious mistakes in the book in 15 minutes. The pronunciation for the letter "h" is wrong; is said to be like the letter "o" as in "good." The pronunciation for the letter "v" is first said to be like the english "w" as in "well" and later said to be like the letter "v" as in "video." I returned the book because of these mistakes.

There are several mistakes in this book. It isn't entirely accurate. Some of the pronunciations are wrong and the handwritten version verses the printed are wrong on a few letters.

Good size for a workbook. Easy to understand and phonetic interpretation is good

Ці книга дуже хороша! This book has helped my improve my understanding of how to write in the Ukrainian Cyrillic alphabet. However, I think it would be more suitable to a younger audience- I only found it useful for certain letters such as: «д» and «ж» Still very helpful regardless!

This is perfect for youngsters.

You will only learn to print block letters; forget about cursive which is what most people are using.
