Thanksgiving Turkey Stainless Steel Cut-Out, Cookie Cutter, R & M International - 7 Inch Large

Mom forget to bring the turkey cookie cutter this year and it just isn’t Thanksgiving without our gingerbread turkey cookies as placecards at the table! Love this big cookie cutter, arrived quickly and in just enough time to make the cookies for the table!!

I got this cookie cutter because of the size of it. 7 by 7 inches is HUGE, which is fine by what my idea for this cookie cutter is for. I’m no baker by any means but I am wanting to make Thanksgiving Cookies for benefits and other charity events that we have around my rural area I live in. I did do a trial run using this with just a town bought sugar cookie dough. Unfortunately my efforts didn’t turn out as good as I liked. I think the cookie cutter is great and I will get this perfected by the holiday season. I’m excited to conquer this and get the perfect turkey cookie. I love the cut outs in the tail. I will post updates as I find a stiffer cookie dough that is going to work for me and the cutter. I would recommend this to anyone who loves to bake. This is way bigger than I thought it would be. I was expecting a cutter that could make a neat little turkey cookie for thanksgiving, but what I ended up with was something that can make a humungous and oversized cookie that is really like 5 cookies in one. That being said, it's a really nifty pattern and I could see what a professional could do with something like this to make some awesome and huge cookies, it's just a little more than I was expecting. I just got the cookie cutter in the mail and can't wait to use it! I am going to cut out the large turkey cookies and then cut them into large puzzle pieces before I bake them. Once baked, I will put the puzzle together and use royal icing to decorate the cookies as if they were still one large cookie. This is great to layout on a platter. It makes a pretty presentation and because it is precut, the puzzle pieces are the size of regular cookies for your guests to eat. You can also bag the pieces and let the kids put the puzzle together!

As a child, I was raised on a turkey ranch, and every Thanksgiving we all decorated turkey shaped sugar cookies in many different rainbow colors. This will be extra fun to try!
